The Locanda is located at a key spot in Vallemaggia, close to many hikes, Grottos and also from Maggia but w/o being too close to urban areas - there is a bus stop just in front of the Locanda. The staff is very friendly. The breakfast is good. The room we stayed in was big, very clean and comfortable.
The Locanda is close to the road in Vallemaggia, and we could hear cars passing by at night. Nothing grave, but if you have problems sleeping (which you shouldn't have after a good day of hiking), maybe you should look for other places.

It's like staying at a friend's house. A very nice house with a great room ( way bigger than we expected), great hosts and a lovely and delicious breakfast. Highly recommend.
Actually.....there is nothing I didn't like. The owners were very nice. The place is amazing, a great old house that has been completely renovated.

The hotel was very nice and the garden a great place for dinner and breakfast. The staff was extremely kind and easy going. Breakfast were delicious with plenty of homemade staff! We had a family bedroom which was very clean and we loved our stay there. Dinner was also homemade and very yummy. I am not a fan of Polenta and there it worths a try! very very good. We hope to be back soon.

Convenient specially for the transportation and very quitly..good for relaxing..Parking lot is good also not too far from the hotel.. We are satisfied and we come back here next time..

We only stayed for one night, in the family suite.
It has two comfortable bedrooms plus a nursery with a little cot, and a nice bathroom with shower.
We slept very well!
The breakfast was great, with lots of homemade jams and yogurt.
If really one wants to be picky the bathroom could benefit from an update. And being a family room, a bathtub would be much more convenient to bath the kids at night. But we were absolutely fine with it.

The staff was really nice and forthcoming. The food was very good. Location is near to many wonderful hikes and nature is stunning.
