The house is big and well-equipped. Quiet location.

Be aware that when you stay there during cold weather there is only a wood-fired oven. As there are 2 floors but no separating ceiling or walls in between the heat from the oven takes quite a long time to warm up the entire house! Firewood is provided for free but you have to chop it first yourself in the backyard. During my stay, I got 2 (!!) separate automated messages to remind me to properly clean up prior to leaving! - In my opinion, this might be understandable due to bad, prior experiences by the owner, but still, this leaves a somewhat patronizing taste in one's mouth. - A complimentary WIFI would be a great addition too.

The only heating available was a wood fire and the weather was wet and cold. I would have preferred an easier option than chopping wood and lighting a fire.

The chalet is very charming and in a great location. Very near the water and we walked to the Colour Patch restaurant daily which is a gorgeous short walk. We loved the wood burner which was great as the evenings got quite cold.

We would have loved a dishwasher! Also some light bulbs were missing - main bedroom upstairs ceiling light and one of the high lights in the lounge area which made the lounge quite dark. I think a lamp in the lounge area would be really cosy.

Great location close to the river, making for an easy walk into town. House was clean with comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms. We enjoyed the wood fire on cold evenings and the very hot showers. The kitchen has all the basic amenities and there’s room to enjoy your morning coffee outside.

Garage door needs replacing. Garage is very small, our midsize car barely fit inside. Seeing as we had two cars with us we had to use the garage to park one.

Gorgeous Chalet. Roomy, clean and has everything you need. Easy walk to the waters edge, shops. Well stocked with fire wood. Beautiful wrens to accompany us at breakfast.
