Such a wonderful vacation rental! The location could not be more convenient! Walking distance from ferry and shops/ restaurants in Friday Harbor. Watching the seaplanes, boats and ferries come and go from our private balcony was wonderful. The condo was tidy, and had everything we needed for our stay. Would absolutely rent again!

The location was amazing, the parking spot was perfect. The communication was great. Loved the view, ice cream and wine right across the street in plain view. I would definitely stay there again.

The Elwha Suite was incredible. It Looked over the harbor and ferry dock, right above a coffee shop, walking distance to everything, with its own dedicated parking. Couldn’t have asked for more!! Host was very responsive. Highly recommended!!!!

We had a wonderful stay at the Elwha Suite, right in the heart of Friday Harbor! The view of the harbor and watching the ferries come in was so beautiful and it was easy to get to all the nearby restaurants, coffee shops and stores! It had all the amenities we needed for a nice weekend getaway and would definitely stay there again!

This is the perfect location if you are looking for a true Friday Harbor downtown, ferry area stay. It's all right there and a GREAT location. Be aware that there is no air conditioning in this and in most properties in the Islands. The owner provided fans and the windows could all be opened. Literally walk ANYWHERE.

Without knowing much about Friday Harbor, we lucked into this place and it was the perfect choice. We had 2 grandparents, 2 adults, and 2 children. Views of the ferry, seaplanes, and all the activity in town, plus walking distance to everything in town. Thanks for a perfect “bucket list” experience!

The condo itself was very nice, but there is a lot of early morning noise from the coffee shop below, including noise from emptying espresso grounds.

This property was well represented in the listing. We loved the view, loved the location and all that was around us. The restaurants, coffee shops and ice cream shops were great for our teens to independently go to.
My feedback: there is no AC and the afternoons get hot. We were there early June and I can’t imagine how hot it is later in the summer.
I saw great reviews on the noise and wanted to weigh in on that as well. The noise of the restaurant next door was never a nuisance. The ferry does make noise most of the day but it doesn’t impact the ambiance. The only noise that did impact us was the coffee shop downstairs. The noise traveled greatly in the mornings and woke us up early. If you are an early riser, it will not affect you.

The location is convenient, the view stunning. We enjoyed our stay. The place was clean and comfortable.
There is no air conditioning and only one small portable fan, so on very warm days with little breeze, it might be a warm sleep.

We were on San Juan Island for a family member's wedding at Roche Harbor, but this was also our annual summer vacation with all of our adult children. What a fantastic property, incredible location, and all-around great place to stay. I thought the ferry landing and traffic might bother us, but I found myself being fascinated by watching the onboarding and offloading process, and never tired of the people watching. Beautiful views of the harbor, coffee shop right below us in the same building, and walking distance to everything in town. Northwest Island Escapes personnel were friendly, helpful, and always available. Our stay couldn't have been better.

We absolutely LOVED staying here. This will be the first place we check when we head back up to Friday Harbor to visit our son and his wife. We sat by the window and watched the ferries come and go while the guys played their guitar and our daughter in law did her knitting. Our daughter loved how close it is to the ice cream store. Seriously, this location is the absolute BEST place to be in town. Don't hesitate to book here. Easy check in and out and the outdoor patio was so nice to have coffee on in the morning. There isn't a Ruch to get to the ferry line since it is across the street. We walked everywhere which was nice too. We had a great time!

Great location, we enjoyed the harbor view ,sunrise, sunset, activities around the harbor, dinning and shopping near by. Other points of interest on the island are just a short drive away.

Location is great, just steps off the ferry. The first day we were there the apartment was very warm, even with all the windows open and the 2 provided fans. There is no AC (which we knew ahead of time). Our baby monitor measured a temperature of around 83 degrees. This made it hard for our little one to get to sleep. The remaining days we were there temps were in the 70s and the rental was much more comfortable. It was somewhat noisy with the windows open given the close proximity to the ferry line up, but this didn't bother us that much. There's no laundry, which I didn't think would be a problem until our daughter developed a stomach bug during our stay :/ Overall it was a great location close to everything and we enjoyed watching the boats on the harbor. Will probably rent with somewhere with AC/laundry in the future.

This was a charming unit right in all the action on Friday harbor. We watched the ferries come in and out from the sweet window seat. Enjoyed the coffee shop downstairs, waked to all restaurants, boat dock, etc. There is a coffee shop downstairs and the queue for the cars for the ferry is right out your window so you may want some earplugs if you are a light sleeper. That wouldn’t deter us, though. We are meals out on the deck overlooking the water. Would definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed watching the hustle & bustle of this cute little town & the ferry coming back & forth. Just a quick car ride to all kinds of nature. I don’t want to leave & can’t wait to come back!

We loved our stay in the Elwha Suite! We couldn't have asked for a better location - we only had to walk down the steps and take a very short walk to get coffee, something to eat, or enjoy a drink - all while taking in the beautiful scenery. It was pure perfection. Having a private balcony overlooking the harbor was an extra treat. We appreciated all the advance information we received that made parking and accessing the property so very easy. We would absolutely love to return and stay here again!

We had an amazing stay with our two kids at the Elwha Suite. The view was phenomenal, the location was amazing, and the place was fully stocked. It was walking distance to everything - dinner, the port, the San Juan Islands Brewing Company. We loved watching the boats come in and are so glad we picked this location for our two nights on Friday Harbor. We can't wait to come back!

Easily walkable to everything and watching the ferries from the huge window was amazingly entertaining. Communication with the property managers was also outstanding. Can't recommend enough.

One room has a skylight above the bed with no blinds. Also, the bedding smelled very strong of fabric softener/detergent. We were also bummed to find no basic condiments like salt/pepper, olive oil, etc. The bay window was awesome and the personal porch we enjoyed while the sun was out. Overall a nice place, just some minor inconveniences.

This place was amazing! My family stayed here for a weekend wedding in Friday Harbor. My children loved watching the ferries come and go, and we loved being able to pop downstairs to the coffee shop in the mornings. The condo was very clean, well stocked, and the communication with the managers was great! Would definitely stay here again!

We had a fantastic stay at this property. The view out the bay window was exactly what we were looking for. The location was right in the middle of everything in town.
Yes, you can hear the coffee shop downstairs in the morning. But the view and the great coffee aroma more than makes up for the noise. We would happily book this property again.

Great location, comfortable bed and pillows! The linens were great quality. However, there was a very old and large chunk of some food(?) product in the kitchen sink that had been there long enough to have dried up. We messaged the management company and while Kyle from NW Islands Escapes was very responsive, we didn’t hear from the property manager until about 20 hours later. We also noticed that the fan from the closet had a used face mask and wired headphones stuck to it. Our only complaint is housekeeping and responsiveness from the property manager.

Nice open space, great king beds and comfortable pull out. Fun view over harbor, watching ferrys load and unload. A little pricey for an older kitchen with few glasses. Six glasses for 6 people and 1 wine glass?! Everything else was very nice and comfortable and well done. We took down painting which hung under hooks for coats so it wouldn't get wet...rather odd placement for art work. Enjoyed the collection of other art work which was a lot of local scenes and sail boats. Had a wonderful time there and loved walking everywhere. It really was clean and tidy despite the rather old feeling of kitchen and bathroom cabinets.

We enjoyed this property and especially the view from the large windows overlooking the water. It was within walking distance to everything downtown. It was very spacious & cozy to relax in the evening. Would definitely stay here again!

Our group enjoyed the panoramic view of the harbor and the ferry from this unit. We could look out directly as the ferry came in and loading and unloading passengers and vehicles. This became an unexpected source of entertainment for us. We were initially a bit worried about potential noise from it but there were no problems at all. The only noise was early in the morning from the coffee shop downstairs, but it wasn't a major issue. The unit itself was quite comfortable and we also has a private balcony.
