We absolutely loved the location of this house. It was very quiet and felt like your own private beach. The inside of the house was spotless and very clean. The outside of the house is lacking in maintenance. It could use some work. Overall the house is gorgeous but just needs less clutter and more work done to the outside.

We enjoyed our stay at this incredibly beautiful, relaxing and enjoyable house. The view was breathtaking. The pool was amazing. And the welcoming committee wasn’t too bad either (the local chickens.). We enjoyed feeding them every day. So glad we picked this house for our stay.

A lovely place to stay away from the hustle and bustle of 7 Mile Beach and so many round-a-bouts. The few minor problems we had were quickly taken care of by Carl and Shaneika. Overall a wonderful place to stay, however, being the klutz that I am I would have preferred a feww less tchotchkes. :-)

Great place with amazing views, well stocked house with everything you need, kayak, paddle boards, snorkel equipment etc..and a well stocked kitchen. Large beach front area, very secluded and private beach. Air conditioning worked very well, internet was fast and the house overall nice. While there is so many positive things about Casa Tortuga, the only two negatives was the outdoor gas grill was nasty, dirty, disgusting and should be replaced. The other was a very noisy rooster that starts a very loud ****-doodle-do at 4:45 AM, like clock work every morning and continues throughout the day, stops around 7 PM. We used earplugs and did a lot of excursions, but there was times where it got to be annoying, (therefore I removed a star from the review). Overall, we would definitely stay at this property again if we return to the Cayman Islands.

If you’re looking for laid back privacy with amazing views, this is the spot! First off, I felt like it was perfectly located! Close enough to get to 7 mile without being in 7 mile...which is way too busy for our taste. We could easily hop over to Rum Point to swim with sea turtles and have amazing food at Kaibo. Sunrise at Colliers Beach. The Parrot Sanctuary is very close and a fun place. Crystal Caves is close. The blow holes and lovers wall also very close. There’s so much to do and see! We also had everything we needed here..double kayak, paddle boards, heated pool, beachfront, washer and dryer and even a keurig machine. It felt clean and comfortable. Yes there is some seaweed down by the beach but it’s just a natural feel and you step right over it and it didn’t smell at all. No big deal! The water is warm and blue and I LOVED the chickens running around with their babies! I could go on and on. Also go explore the deserted beaches along the Queens Hwy. So many treasures! Wonderful trip!

Awesome experience for my husband and I plus our two adult daughters and their guys. Just the right amount of space for everyone. We tried to see all the sights on Cayman, but by the end of the week everyone just wanted to hang at the house, being on the beach, hanging at the pool and chilling in the gazebo. Highly recommend!! Felt like we had the entire sound to ourselves.

Casa Tortuga was the perfect home base for our Cayman Christmas vacation!!! As advertised, the home is secluded with a private beach and pool. We loved that there were paddle boards and a kayak available for use. You can snorkel in the sound behind the house.
The owners have provided everything you need to cook a meal and feel at home during your stay. Including snorkel gear and extra beach towels.
Several reviews refer to the beach area being ‘dirty’ and I would describe this as more of a natural beach feel. If you’re looking for the pristine sand beaches without some grass in the water, you may want to stay elsewhere. We thought it was beautiful and enjoyed how private and quiet this spot was - away from the hustle and bustle. Plenty of room to spread out in the living and kitchen.
Would definitely recommend renting a car if you want to go shopping or out to eat. There aren’t many options close to the house.
We enjoyed the beautiful sunsets views from the gazebo and relaxing in the pool. My only suggestion for improvement would be to replace the pillows for all of the bedrooms. They are quite worn and uncomfortable- that’s not really a matter of preference. I read a response from the property management from early 2023 saying the bedding was going to be updated but that had not occurred by the time of our stay for Christmas 2023. If you’re really particular about your bedding - just bring your own.

The location is excellent in relation to being on the water, and it is recommended you rent a car if you expect to go out for dinner or seeing the sights. The pool is nice and heated, however we had to call the pool company as the heater stopped working which was apparently due to a lack of maintenance. The grounds are adequate but again in need of general upkeep as we saw trash near the gazebo and behind the pool. The house is nice but in some need of updating or repair ie microwave, knobs on stove, refrigerator ice maker etc. No one came by all week to check on how we were or if we needed anything. As we have stayed in properties in the USA, Mexico, and Europe, this one would not be on the top of the list. For the price i would overall recommend seeking another venue.

Casa Tortuga was perfect for my family of 4 - myself, my husband and our older teen daughters. We had plenty of space and the beach was gorgeous. Made good use of the kayaks and paddle boards. Recommend bringing snorkeling gear if you have it (the house did have enough for 2 people) because there is lots to see right off the beach. The location is great in that every part of the island is no more than a 40 minute drive, and it's quiet and peaceful. The only drawback was when we wanted to go out but didn't feel like driving - there really is nothing nearby. We didn't need much during our stay as everything was in order, but for the couple requests we did have, the caretaker and property manager were extremely responsive. Would definitely recommend Casa Tortuga.

6 of us (3 couples) spent a long weekend at Casa Tortuga. The property was a great place to hang out and relax. The beach area, pool and gazebo were all well used, as were the kayaks and paddleboards. The kitchen is large and equipped with everything we needed.

Casa Tortuga was exactly as pictured and described. It was the perfect place for us to stay with our 2 grown daughters/partners. Everyone had their own space and then large comfortable common areas both inside and out. The house was clean and well stocked. The pool was wonderful and the beach was well enjoyed. I would highly recommend it. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

Great place to stay if you don’t plan on going outside to enjoy the beach. Inside was okay. Glass coffee & end tables were dirty. Outside chair cushions were brought inside & couch was all sandy. Outside-everything in disarray. Water balloon fragments all over, table & chairs in cabana were messy, shovel laying on the ground, blow-up canoe & paddleboards were just thrown around, one paddleboard was broken, beach was littered with garbage (soda can, shoe, quart of motor oil). Sargassum had not been cleaned out & there was no clear access to the water. Beach had not been raked & it looked dirty. Hammock was broken & so were all of the lounge chairs. The nice brown wicker lounge chairs pictured in ad were not the ones there. Pool was nice, but umbrella & float were broken. Gas grill had been left on and was gross, even after housekeeping came & cleaned it up. We did complain about the beach & the groundskeeper came over at 10:30pm & cleaned off the sidewalk & patio (which we already swept), then spent 30 mins clearing out the 10ft section of beach that was promised in the paperwork. Next morning we were shocked to see a 5ft section that had been barely cleared. We never got in the water. I understand sargassum is a problem, but neighbor’s beach was cleared, raked & looked amazing. With a bit more attention, Casa Tortuga could once again look like the pictures online. We did get one night refunded, but it did not make up for the terrible experience we had as first-time visitors.

This beautiful gem in the East End had everything we needed for a relaxing and much needed 40th birthday getaway! Positioned between Rum Point and 7 mile beach it gave us the ability to enjoy the entire Cayman island instead of just one small portion of it. Ms Lisa the property manager was absolutely a gem, very easy to contact should we need her. At the end of the stay there was some confusion on my part where to drop of the property key, and she can met us at the airport to come get it. Would recommend this place to anyone needing that perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of their fast paced life!

Basically a private beach home, only saw one or two people a day walking, otherwise complete privacy. Easy to get to Seven Mile Beach or Rum Point, best restaurants are east 5 minutes (Tukka). Manager let us stay longer for checkout which was very nice. The others reviews were accurate in that bedding and cleaning could use more upgrades but, that seems minor, the party was outside.

This property had it all: privacy, amazing location, beautiful views, indoor and outdoor activities. Our toddlers loved the swimming pool, and it kept them entertained for hours. My wife and I enjoyed walking along the beach and sitting in the gazebo taking in the spectacular view. The area is very quiet, and the property offers a great deal of privacy. We also enjoyed its central location. We were easily able to travel to the east, west, and north sides of the island. We cannot wait to return.

Casa Tortuga is exactly as described. Best beach area we saw in Frank Sound. Very private. We saw perhaps 2 other people walk the beach during an entire week. The reef area is calm. The property is very peaceful, many trees. Everyone enjoyed the outside gazebo in the morning and during the day. This is a beautiful and quiet part of the island. Best for people who really want to get away from crowds, enjoy local food and interact with local culture. Many excellent small roadside restaurants and places to visit. Definitely would rent a car to get around. Plenty of parking space on the property. The pool is clean and warm. Also a beautiful spot to sit during the day looking out over the beach and the ocean.
Mitch is a kind and attentive person who lives in a nearby guesthouse. He watches over the grounds and is available to help with any issues or questions.
We would stay here again!

Well the property is amazing, except there's a little guest house with garbage everywhere right next to the pool. They run a car detailing shop or something so there's lots of traffic. At one point we had to endure an open car door ding sound for over an hour. The general upkeep of the landscaping is non existent. We cleaned up beer bottles and trash including dozens of beer bottle caps that were fully rusty (not recent), if a palm frond fell by the pool they just pushed it off the side of the deck. With a little love and the guest house being quiet this would be the best place ever.

Casa Tortuga is set in a quiet part of the island, with few neighbours and little road traffic. There was no one else on the beach except us, and nothing to spoil the stunning view of the white sand and the sea.The villa itself has character and has been decorated by professionals. It is spacious enough for 2 couples or a family. The amenities were spotless.The swimming pool is not huge but deep enough. It is also shaded by the palm trees most of the day, making it a very nice spot for the afternoon. Another good spot to spend the hot hours after lunch is the hammock: I defy anyone to stay more than five minutes in the hammock and not fall asleep.To sum it up, Casa Tortuga is the ideal location to kick back, relax and spend some lazy time doing nothing. The only down point is the sea itself: the algae make it difficult to enter the water. One has to swim a bit before finding clear sand. But this is just how the island is. There is still enough to see around the villa for a couple of hours of snorkelling. Overall, I warmly recommend this rental.

We traveled here with 2 other couple and it was amazing. The location of the property was fabulous. Quiet, serene, and the sunrises were amazing. The only issue we had was the communication with the Cayman Villas. We had no direction as to how to access the property. We called, left a message and never received a call back. We showed up at the property and Mitch (neighbor) showed us in and gave us a overview of the property. He was amazing.

The location was perfect. It was away from the tourist crowd, and we were able to live like a local. The house was decorated with every turtle decoration which was cute. The decorations would of made me nervous with smal kids. Lots of breakables. Communication was amazing. We had to reschedule our honeymoon the day before we were suppose to leave, and the cayman villas made the last minute booking a breeze, which was very much appreciated. The only thing I could recommend would be a softer master bed (I know bed preference is hard). The bed was extremely hard, and we had to go sleep in the smaller bed. Another thing that would of been awesome was to have access to Netflix or Hulu.

Quiet Getaway
This house is on the quieter side of the island, the seclusion was nice. The water isn’t as tempting to swim in as the other side of the island, there is a lot of grass growing beneath the surface and a lot of seaweed washes up on shore, but it is great for kayaking and paddle boarding. The space inside was nice, plenty of rooms and parking. Basic seasonings and plenty of dishes in the cupboards. Mosquitos are bad right at dusk, bring the repellent, we left a bottle for future guests. Plenty of parking. Pool was very enjoyable. Glad there were latch locks on the inside of the doors to help us feel safe.

Six Friends and relatives returned to Grand Cayman to celebrate two sets of wedding anniversary's. We chose Casa Tortuga because of it's quiet serene location. The Villa was clean and nicely decorated. Located on a private beach on Frank Sound. We all had a good time!

Relaxing Vacation
Casa Tortuga is a well kept villa with all the comforts of home. Our favor times were spent in the gazebo overlooking the beach and water. It is totally private but not to far from good restaurants. It delivered everything we wanted in our vacation. No other tourists, no crowded beach and just plain peace and quiet in a picturesque setting. We will differently go back.

Beautiful hideaway, lots of privacy
This beautiful beach home sits on a large beach with a stunning view that feels very private. We were blown away with how big the "back yard" is, and loved the hammocks and gazebo. My husband and I spent our first few days at a resort, and ended our last few days on this property. The beach villa stay was fabulous, but when paying $600+ per night for a vacation, it wouldn't hurt for things to be a little cleaner or for some of the personal items to be tucked in a drawer for their guests. Also, the bed in the master bedroom was so hard/lumpy/uncomfortable, that my husband and I ended up sleeping in the small guest beds each night. Other than the master bed being awful, everything else was a home run, and we'd recommend this beautiful place to anyone for the epic views and privacy.
