looked pretty on the outside and had a great pool, sauna and steam room

the staff at reception. took the longest time to check in (no queue, just a slow employee) who corrected me but then turned out to be wrong. i also booked a room with two single beds but when i arrived it was one double bed so i asked them for an extra duvet and they sent me a duvet and a duvet cover, so after paying lots of money to have the luxury of relaxing and having everything done for me for one night, i had to make my own bed because they made a mistake. i also asked for bathrobes and had to ask again hours later cause they forgot. it’s those kinda things that ruin your mood and whole stay. plus there’s a waterfall right outside the hotel, and it’s extremely loud - unless you’re very exhausted or medicated, you won’t fall asleep.

the style, location, facilities were all superb.

rather than a double bed we got 2 singles pushed together which wasn’t ideal.

The reception staff were friendly. The room was fine. Breakfast was plentiful. We were out all day so we didn’t hang around much.

The mattress was moving around quite a bit so not so comfortable. The room felt cold and there were no instructions on how the heating worked. No instructions on how to contact reception. Also, no instructions if there was a fire. When we asked staff where to eat the staff were not very forthcoming with information. We only found out where to go on our last day. This was at the end of the road outside the hotel.

The location is great and the outside of the hotel is fun

The rooms are very basic and not very clean (lots of dust).

something not too bad but annoying… the elevator is so complicated… from 4th floor to 0 … we had to wait 10 min

Quirkiness, and the location with it only being a 10/20 min train ride into centre of Amsterdam. The room was a good size and the spa bath and sauna perfect recovery option for after the marathon.

It's tired and in need of a refurb. It seemed very noisy this time as well. We shouldn't really be able to hear every minute toilet habit of our neighbours, or plugs/switches that made it sound like they were always trying to come through the interconnecting door (which we weren't made aware of, otherwise we'd have not booked it). Room wasn't the cleanest with coffee up the pillar and what looked like cigarette ash in on the edge of the window in the bathroom. The bar and restaurant staff were not the most approachable either. And why do hotels put Inna Nespresso machine and then refuse to top it up daily? Either build in the capsules to the cost of the room or don't offer it.

The location was very good, just 15 minutes away from Amsterdam. The room was a decent size and the bathroom was big. everything was very clean.

The beds were a little too soft and it took a while until we could get used to these mattresses.

The hotel is conveniently located near the train station. It is easily accessible from the airport and Amsterdam Centraal Station. The hotel is easy to find with its distinctive style. The hotel is clean and the area around is quiet. It was a nice change of pace from the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam.

We had a slight issue with the television. It kept getting unplugged when the cleaning staff cleaned the room. It was not a big deal once we figured it out but it was a little unusual to have the television plugged into the floor rather than a wall.

I like the fact that my suite had a sauna. The bathroom was spacious and the living area had a proper work desk.

I had to wait a long time for my room.
