El baño miy sucio. Las paredes llenas de cabello pegado. Las de limpieza se ve que no miran hacia arriba en la regadera un asco.
Los chixosde front desk sin experiencia... No me cobraron lo que debian, hicieron cobros de más, no me facturaron, y tampoco siguen instrucciones. No saben trabajar. Muy molesta con sus cobros. Siento que me hicieron un fraude y todo swgun su tarifa y cambios. Yo pague por una tarifa! No para que me dijeran que diario cambia. Y por ello me tenían que cobrar mas. Pésimos no lo recomiendo

Location, room size,staff tendency to help bathroom of second room was big and good.
I had to change my room for imperfect toilet flushing system,hot water was rusty for some time given long suspension impact, rubber of office chair hand broken,wardrobe light never goes off.

The location
The restroom was dirty, with fungus inside the shower (pink and black). The ceiling of the restroom were with spots. The toilet flooded and the housekeeping never came to clean it.

Breakfast was very good, with some gluten-free options. Eggs, bacon, several cheese, juices, etc. The rooms and the lobby and dinning spots were pleasant and conservative yet stylish. Rooms were big, TVs were modern as well. Good selection of minibar options. Desks in both rooms and plenty of closet space. Electric kettle with available teas and coffee. Wifi was stable and worked fine in the rooms.
One of the showers was very finicky, kept defaulting to the bottom faucet. The swimming pool is on a basement and therefore doesn't have a view, and it's a bit small for such a hotel. Expect lots of people there. It felt a bit dirty as well, specially the jacuzzi. Also the parking is out of the hotel premises (it's on the same block), and as a guest they make you use the third floor by stairs, not comfortable at all if you need to pick stuff from the car and back. On top of that, is paid.

I WAS CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD ON ARRIVAL. PAID IN USD CASH (favorable exchange rate) UPON CHECK-OUT. It’s been 4 days and the charge hasn’t been reversed. Furthermore, my bank hasn’t registered transactional request for such reversal.
In a country starved for dollars, trusted organizations should AVOID THESE BAD PRACTICES (to fund the daily USD operations with the guest’s money).

The quality of the breakfast was poor

It needs a remodeling of the facilities, especially the bathroom. To be a Melia Hotel, it is quite deteriorated

great room with a balcony, great breakfast and dinner, helpful front desk staff, loved the pool and spa area. Location is really good to walk to all the tourist areas however the street out front for a block at first seemed questionable but the hotel has security always at the front entrance. All part of being in BA, lots of crime.

Reception and bellboys were very friendly. Comfy bed, nice room size.
Very helpful maintenance engineer who managed to fix the AC and unblocked the toilet.
Lack of attention to detail in the room (blocked toilet, AC not working, paint on tyles in bathroom and on curtains).
No tea & coffee making facilities in bedroom (but we've seen them in other rooms). No drinkable water other than the minibar.
Water used for the tea at breakfast was tap water which has a nasty taste, instead of using filtered/mineral water.
On day of check in we arrived early (11am) but there was nowhere to get a coffee or a snack due to restaurant and bar closed until 12h30
