Lovely friendly hotel.. really enjoyed our stay

Parking a bit tight and busy but off street back up options when needed

we had 2 room, very spacious and well furnished dinning options good on site between bar and dinning room great choice of breakfast options .lobby very spacious and well laid out . very good location

The car park under and to back of hotel was very small and dark difficult to get parked between the pillars However there is park and display parking at the front along the pier which was good

Nothing wrong

upon arrival and checking into our room, i was disappointed with the family room. It was grubby and cold and some of the lights / lighting did not work and it had a very unpleasant odour. So I contacted reception to let them know and they offered me two alternatives, both were smaller rooms but clean, comfortable, all the lighting worked and there was no odd smell, they smelled clean and fresh. As one of them was overlooking the harbour as per our original booking, we settled for that one. The staff on reception, Raquel and Shane were super professional and handled my matter most professionally. Later that day, we had some wine and chocolates and complimentary little cakes as a gesture from the hotel which I was very touched by. All the staff were lovely, the pool and the spa was also lovely but we were restricted to using the pool at family times only as I was holidaying with my two teenagers. This would have been fine but it seemed all adults were also allowed to use the pool during these times so it felt a bit unfair I have to say. I loved the location, lovely outlook over the harbour - definitely worth selecting one of those rooms and having a super view of Croagh Patrick and opportunity for a short or long walk by water on your doorstep. It was also conveniently located to the town, we walked in and out on one of the days to go to the super cinema in Westport town. Finally, all the staff in the restaurant were fantastic, excellent menu choice for breakfast and food in the downstairs eaterie, The Coast was just superb!!! We ate so well and it felt like a personable stay - we were there for 4 nights. I will definitely return. Thank you Raquel and Shane for your fantastic service!!

Lovely room.5 star spa. Great chambermaid.

Badly cooked food. We had one dinner in bar which was so bad - tough steak - over cooked fish++. Poor wine list. We ate out after that. Breakfasts could do with major improvement.Fried breakfasts plopped on table while my husband was still eating his Weetabix. Bacon not cooked. We had to make our own toast! Reminded me of our work canteen. Never asked if everything was OK!! Tea arrived in a pot which had the top of pot damaged and was smeared.

We spent only one night, but it was a perfect stay for recharge us on our road trip. We have not tried the spa or the indoor swimming pool, but they look very tempting. The breakfast in the morning was excellent with many options.

Breakfast options were very good, not just the usual "full Irish breakfast" options (although they are there). It was nice to have an omelet option :-) The bed room (harbour view), was great, although somewhat noisy with the windows open (to be expected as there is an outdoor part to the bar/restaurant at the front of the hotel). The rooms are very comfortable and very spacious. The TV has a linking option so you can share from your phone which was really handy as Irish TV channels are awful :-) I had room service a couple of times and the food was great and dropped up with 15 minutes or so. The staff were all really helpful and attentive. I have visited Westport a few times now and I would definitely consider staying here again.

The only thing I would put in the "didn't like section" is that parking is limited at the back of the hotel for the number of rooms available and getting in can be quite tight if you have a larger car. However there is an overflow carpark only a 2 minute walk away so this really isn't a big issue.
