By far the best place I have rented in Beaver Island. The beach was sandy and not rocky: There are kayaks, outside chars and firewood to use! There was plenty of space in the cottage and everything you need already there. We even used the grill! We already have it rented for next year and loved our stay!

The cottage was absolutely tremendous. I would give it six stars out of five if that was possible. It met all our needs. It was comfortable, well stocked and a great location. It was close enough to town to get there easily, but also far enough away to feel remote. It had tons of extras including the beach toys, beach chairs and towels, kayaks, cornhole, the grill, etc. We saw a ton of wildlife, often from inside the cabin. Deer and turkeys roamed by the cottage regularly in the early morning. The beach is one of the best on the island. Sandy, shallow and great for swimming. We also fished at Lake G and we had great luck. Even the novices caught fish!! I would also recommend the Sunset Cruise offered by Mike Weede. It was a magnificent trip on his boat, The Resolute. He took us out into Lake Michigan for a small price and he did a great job of explaining everything to us. The Shamrock was great, Daddy Franks was great and McDonough's Market had everything we needed. A+++++

If you have stayed on the island before, this location is just about perfect. 15 minutes to town, 10 minutes to the golf course and airport and 2 minutes to the beach. You are away from the crowd and almost have your own beach. The house is perfect for a family of up to 6, as there is 4 bedrooms but only 1 bath. The owner has provided everything you will need.

We had an awesome time. Loved the location and access to the beach!! The house was well equipped for our needs. There is no cell service but if you’re you’re an Apple user the WiFi connects well and no issues. However android friends had no service at all. The only complaint I would have is that I wish there were the directions for the dehumidifier. It got a bit musty on the house. Once we figured it out, all was well.

Just got back from a week here. House was wonderful. Had everything you needed and the location was perfect. Far enough from town but not too far. Beach entry just up from the house. Saw a ton of birds.very cute inside

A nice place. Good for a small family. Clean. Appliances worked. A pretty setting near the lake. I recommend without hesitation.

The house was all advertised to be and more. Perfect location, great beach and close to town. Very clean house, comfortable with all kinds of cookware and kitchenware. Very happy with this rental. Owners easy to communicate with if need be.

This was our second time staying at Christine’s cottage and we had the best time! Everything you need for a wonderful, relaxing time is at this cozy place. We can’t wait to go back again-we miss the island already!

We are a little bias, as our parents owned the home for 30 yrs. Best beach on the island. Everything you need is at the cabin. Loved all the games for the kids. Beautiful paradise.

We loved our time on the island. The house was the perfect cottage for our stay. Nothing beat drinking your coffee and starting the day with the view from the 'roof'. The house was equipped with everything you would need. Our only real adventure with the house was the shower - it was small, but was part of the charm of enjoying Beaver Island. Great communication with the host and plenty of space for the whole family.

It could host many more than just the two of us, probably 4 adults and 3 children. The bed we used was comfortable and the living area was comfortable. WiFi was available for personal use and provided a TV link which we used with Netflix and Watch-Free TV. We ate all our meals in the cottage and found the equipment adequate for our needs. We only wished there were a few mid-size sauce pans.

We had to empty the vacuum in order to sweep up all the sand left behind. We cleaned before we unpacked.

Fantastic location, great cottage and serenity for miles! Our group of five friends had a great time exploring Beaver Island from this fantastic home base. The upper deck made for great stargazing, and the beach, a stone’s throw from the cottage, was amazing. And the cottage comes equipped with anything and everything we needed, from cooking gadgets to beach toys to a smart tv. Definitely an A-Plus property!

Last trip before school starts and this was a great way to end it. Thanks for having all the extra stuff in the house that, most rentals don't have. Full stocked kitchen, linens, beach toys, and so many extras. See ya next year!

I cannot recommend this home highly enough. We had a dream week of vacation here - pure relaxation. The white sand Lake Michigan beach was mostly to ourselves all week just 50 yards from the front lawn. The second story porch was ideal for sitting and watching the lake - and was like being perched in a bird sanctuary. The kitchen was well appointed. We had a yellow lab with us and the entire island was a dog owner’s dream. Accessible beaches, plentiful trails, it had it all. I cannot underscore enough how excellent the week’s stay was. If you like cabins on lakes at all, it is hard to imagine doing better. We used the kayaks all week and rented bikes in town which were delivered to the house. To future renters - come with confidence.

The cottage was perfect for my husband and me. The kitchen was so very well equipped....it had everything we needed. We loved the proximity to the lovely beach; we even took a blanket there late at night to view the gorgeous night sky. We also loved sitting on the balcony to relax and read. We highly recommend Lake View Cottage.

Me and my family had an amazing experience at the Peachtree Cottage! Christine’s home was welcoming and perfect for our vacation. We had 4 adults, 2 kids, and our dog Lucy, all of which loved the stay. The house has an impressive stock of all the necessities and then some. We hope to visit again very soon! Thank you Christine!
