Posizione da favola, con i caratteristici alloggi colorati di fronte al mare. Bellissimo anche il ristorante/museo, in una struttura a forma di libreria in onore di Thorbergur Thordarson, scrittore islandese nato proprio qui.

De ligging, vlakbij de gletsjermeren. Je kan na het eten gemakkelijk terugrijden voor sunset foto’s.
Geweldige hike hier gedaan. Wij bleven hier 2 nachten en hebben ons echt een hele dag vermaakt bij de meren, op de gletsjer en Diamond Beach.
Hadden wel heel mooi weer.
Ruime kamer. Goede bedden. Ruime badkamer.
Goed ontbijt met ook lokale producten.
Avondeten ontzettend lekker.
Er zijn meerdere gebouwen met kamers.
Lichte gordijnen. Het was om 5.00 al helemaal licht in de kamer.
De ontbijtruimte is in een apart gebouw ongeveer 500 meter van de gebouwen met kamers.

Staff was very customer oriented. I was checking in late, the kitchen was about to close and I called to get two meals prepared for our late arrival. They waited for us.

The view from our 2 bed apartment was breath taking.
Great hospitality and wonderful host.

Nice hotel, just next to the Glacier Adventure departure point - very convenient for the morning Ice Cave tour. Good breakfast, plenty of parking spots.
Our room and breakfast were in separate buildings, might be not so convenient in bad weather.

We loved our stay. The property was beautiful, the restaurant was delicious, the staff were all so kind and helpful. Location was great, 15 minute drive to Diamond Beach/Glacier Lagoon. Best way to start off our trip!

Basic but good breakfast, big double room and overall nice, quiet and convenient location to make it to an early morning Jokusarlon lagoon tour.
The breakfast could have more options.

the rooms were comfy and clean, the atmosphere and scenery were amazing and we loved the buffet breakfast. everything was so tasty!

One of the hotels at reasonable distance from the Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon, which also makes it somewhat isolated and far from anything that looks like a town. However, the hotel as everything you need on site, including decent restaurant for all your meals and coffee breaks. The rooms are comfortable and clean.

Breakfast was excellent and room size was good! The property had a very good chance to see the aurora since they did not have much street lamps but we did not get see any when we stayed there.
The room we received has very weak wifi, barely any signal. Perhaps the property would want to get a wifi extender? EV charger is near the check-in building and not the bedrooms. We encountered a severe storm, and winds were terribly strong at night when we went to retrieve the car to prevent any idle fee. Had a really scary windy walk from the room to the check-in building.

we had a bit of a trouble finding reception because it is right where restaurant is (when I looked at it, I thought it was just a restaurant so I just passed through) but just keep in mind you have to stop there to check in and out (which was easy btw)
restaurant was a bit far from room (absolutely not a big deal ... maybe 4-5 min walking) but on our stay it was raining so we just had to get the car to go to restaurant. again, not a big deal, just an observation.

4 ladies traveling ring road. Out of the 7 different accommodations, this was our favorite. Enjoyed talking with Mihai, he was so friendly and helpful.
