The pool.

Well, where to start with this one?! Firstly its probably best to mention that my family and I have stayed in numerous villas over the last several years so we know what "value for money" means in terms of these types of holiday so I'd like to think this (along with the pictures) makes for a credible review: We decided to overlook the fact that there was no aircon in the open living area as we knew this from the start and had requested a fan(the villa is not "air conditioned accomodation" as per the description - air conditioning is only in the bedrooms). This proved to be adequate enough for the stay, however, installing an air conditioning unit in this area should be a no-brainer, but then, with all the other "easier" problems in the villa to fix, I guess this must be an alien concept i.e investing in such an easy and convenient addition to make stays more comfortable. On arriving at the villa late afternoon on a Sunday, the first thing that we noted was the top front door not opening properly (scraping on the floor tiles). We then turned lights on and found several that were physically missing bulbs or had bulbs that didn't work (downstairs main bedroom light). The next (perhaps minor) issue was the lack of shutters and/or curtains on all the windows for obvious reasons (we used blankets as curtains). The welcome pack actually advises not to roll up the shutters too far as they will break...but there aren't any shutters on any of the windows!!!!!! A clear sign that there were, and that they haven't been bothered to replace them! 70% of the windows had insect meshes on but 3 or 4 either did not or they were broken off and simply "leaning" against the windows. There aren't any spare pillows so the one extra here is the one we actually went and bought for €6, but this expense was clearly too expensive for a villa that can't seem to replace missing/broken light bulbs so I wasn't surprised.
