WOW - this is a family run hostel and you can tell they care about the guests. It is very, very clean. Your dorm bed is made for you every day - how's that for customer satisfaction! Breakfast is a cooked breakfast with fresh fruit every day. I went from the dorm to a private room when I had to extend my day. The private room was spacious and clean with balcony. There is a pretty garden where you can listen to the birds (& train that passes once in a while!). The will do your laundry (small fee). Uber rides are very inexpensive from the hostel to downtown (20min walk). I recommend this hostel and would not have extended my stay here had it not been exceptional.

No full length mirror in the dorm room!

This is the second time I stayed here and it will remain my go-to hostel in San José. The quality you get for this price is unmatched. The breakfast is good and fresh every day and it is very clean. They've added a co-working space since my last stay. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Couldn't recommend it more.

Am Morgen musste man am Bad Schlange stehen, da die Kapazität für alle Gäste zu gering ist - alle Gäste wollten gleichzeitig abreisen ;-)

A lovely hostel with super nice owners, very clean and well maintained. The garden with the fairy lights i was very pretty and the breakfast was really good :) I appreciated the opportunity to buy a SIM-Card (a lot cheaper than at the airport) and an adapter for a good price. The Wifi is very good and they have some desk where its possible to work. I can only recommend this hostel!

Friendly, family owned business. Everything was good. We just stayed one night after a long flight and slept well here!

Lovely little hostel within easy walking distance of the National Museum and shops. I stayed in the private double room, with a sweet little balcony and private bathroom. The hosts are lovely and helpful, great kitchen for your convenience and there’s a Fresh Mart a 10 min walk away with food and drinks. Such a relaxing stay, and free coffee at 7 am.

It was a chilly rainy couple of days and I was really wishing for hotter water in the shower….

Common area is really nice. Some new workstations were set up while we were there. Outside garden area is lovely. David and his team are super friendly and efficient. Laundry service available upon request. Also ramen noodle soup available for a fee - very handy and delicious! The room was clean and comfortable. Fingerprint locks meant no key to lose! Bed is massive and spacious.

Traffic noise was a bit loud, windows are a bit thin.

From the moment I arrive I felt welcomed. The hosts are very friendly and helpful, they have good recommendations for the city and the country. I met friendly people in the hostel and we had a nice time. Everything is clean and in good condition. I liked the open kitchen and the garden area very much. In the morning you get free coffee or tea. I was traveling alone and the surrounding area felt safe to me. It’s an easy walk to the city or to the neighborhoods escalante and California. Would definitely stay there again. Thanks again for your hospitality.

Friendly staff, got good travel tips and recommendations for the city, clean rooms and lobby/ common area, kitchen to be used by guests, free tea and coffee in the morning, possible to go to the gym nearby (good and cheap), discount at restaurant nearby

Nothing really, the only thing I could think of: We left our baggage in the lobby because the staff said it would be safe there, nothing happened but we probably would have felt more comfortable knowing our bags were locked up somewhere and not in the common area.

Loved how quick and easy check in was. It was easy to speak to the property owners/managers to ask questions and get suggestions.

Calm, laid back family run place in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to barrio Escalante and city center.. wifi was good, breakfast was awesome, First time I've experienced dorm beds getting made everyday with clean bedsheets and towel! The garden area was a nice place to chill. The family was very humble and welcoming.. will definitely stay again.

Nothing, everything was great. I was afraid at first because this is my first hostel experience but I was pleasantly surprised how clean and lovely everything was.

The staff are super friendly and helpful with any query or problem, gave great suggestions on places to go. Everything was clean. Beds were comfy with towels provided. The breakfast was fresh and tasted delicious.

The lockers were too small to fit my backpack and not much space to put it anywhere.

Very close to the city center and to restaurants. However helpful, cheerful, cool staff. Very good hospitality and spirit.

Super well run, safe and friendly. Nice rooms good value, walking distance from a couple great parts of the city. There is also used good charity box, and cooking and fridge, nice outdoor space.

Great location with friendly hosts and an amazing breakfast, great way to start your trip in Costa Rica. We stayed for two nights - quiet neighbourhood next to lots of restaurants and bars. Comfy bed and nice balcony. Good value for money overall! thank you!

The room needs a little bit of an update/ shower wasn’t the best.
