Having been to Avoriaz many times this was by far the best apartment and experience.
The apartment is spacious and has plenty of storage areas.
The washing machine and tumble dryer were very useful.Location was perfect for ski in/out.
The manager was very friendly and extremely helpful.
I look forward to re-booking as soon as possible.

Superb apartment in a great location. Sherpa shop and bakery a very short walk away along with ski shops, bars and restaurants.
The sauna was a great perk after a days skiing. sledging just outside the apartment was also fun and very convenient.
All round superb. Sadly i've noticed the price has risen a huge amount which will prevent us from booking in the future, but thats the only down side.

Amazing location. Would happily stay again

A fabulous week. The apartment where we stayed a few years ago has remained very clean with all functionalities you can imagine. The location (ski in - ski out) is great with easy access to all major facilities. The sauna is definitely a plus to recover from intense ski days.

We had a wonderful week's skiing in Avoriaz and the apartment was (almost) perfect for us. It is in a great location, only a few minutes away from the Welcome Centre where the ski buses drop you off. We arrived after midnight and were relived that we didn't have to struggle too far in the snow. The apartment has spacious accommodation, apart from the small bunk room that doesn't have any storage. It has lovely lounge and dining areas and a small but adequate kitchen. The balcony runs all along the floor to ceiling windows and the whole apartment is light and airy.
It has a large basement with sauna, utility room, storage, boot warmer and bath/shower room. My only criticism is that there should be an additional toilet in here. There is only one communal toilet just off the lounge (!). The other toilet is in the en-suite.
Location wise, it is right next to a nursery slope (with drag, great for kids) and a gentle blue run to a lift that will take you to the top of the town and onwards.
Falaise is a quiet part of Avoriaz, the main part of town with the majority of shops, restaurants and children's ski school is down the hill, around 5 minutes away. As mentioned by another reviewer, this does make the home journey with young children hard work. We hired a couple of sledges and did the heavy lifting. There is a supermarket, shops, a couple of restaurants and ski hire shops in Falaise though, it is very well served. It is a true ski-in ski-out apartment, as it is on the ground floor with its own entrance. Look for the large '66' on the Saskia Building in Street View, the front door is right next to it.

This was our first skiing holiday as a family, with grandparents and smaller children. So we were looking for a spacious apartment, fitted out to a high standard, that was well-located in Avoriaz. We couldn't have been more pleased!
That view certainly is impregnable, and it's a fantastic view to wake up to in the morning. Strange as it may sound, the apartment is actually on the ground floor of a larger apartment block, but it's entirely separate from it. The front door opens up right onto the (snow covered) street, which connects directly with green and blue pistes that run through the town.
Not knowing Avoriaz previously, we were unsure of the location in Falaise, but it proved to be perfect - just a 5 min walk from the central parking area at Plateau, and a 5 min stroll into the main street (Festival). Crozats (which we'd considered) was high up, and Dromonts was lower down in town - both of which would have involved more walking up and down hills: inevitable in a ski resort, but not ideal with younger children and their kit on their first ever ski trip.
The location is perfect for skiing lessons at ESF, which are located on the gentle slopes above the Plateau meeting point. We'd looked at using Evolution for ski lessons but left it too late to book - in hindsight, it was much, much better to book with ESF, and both children and adults really enjoyed their lessons.
There was a really good slope just round the corner which was perfect for tobogganing, and the Aquariaz swimming pool complex was close by too. All very easily walkable without too much legwork, and closer than it looked on the map.
We used the Skiset shop to hire equipment, which was located 30 secs across the road - the friendliest and most helpful bunch of people I've ever come across in a ski hire shop. (Renting sledges was a great thing to do for the kids too).
In some ways, the apartment is a little odd, presumably for the very reason it wasn't originally intended as living accommodation. The downstairs is huge with lots of unused space, but the boot driers, washing machine and sauna (perfect for drying a huge amount of wet gear) were brilliant to have.
There were a couple of niggles, the main one being with the trip switch which didn't seem to like the oven and washing machine being on at the same time.
But overall we had an excellent stay, and we'd have no hesitation in recommending this apartment to others. There don't appear to be many like it!

Wonderful apartment really enjoyed our stay in this modern well equipped place. Love Avoriaz will definitely stay here again.

Although we had a great trip overall, and the location of this apartment is great, our review is tempered by the fact that we discovered a day or two into our stay that there were no smoke alarms (which I believe are a legal requirement).
We contacted the owner via homeaway, but received no direct response. We texted the point of contact who met us on the first day, and she visited, and confirmed the lack of alarms. When I followed up mid-afternoon on the next day to find out what was going to happen next (having heard nothing in the meantime), I was told there was nothing they could do on New Year's Day as it is a public holiday in France.
At this point, I went to the supermarket (literally across the street) and bought a smoke alarm myself.
I then heard nothing more from the owner or the point of contact, but a couple of days later, a contractor arrived with a single smoke alarm (the same model I'd bought across the street) and attached it to the ceiling above the sofa in the main room. The next morning it fell off, having been attached only with double-sided tape!
As I said, we did enjoy our trip, and the location of the apartment is superb. Other points to note:
1. there is a balcony, but we couldn't get out there. We asked for a key, but never heard back
2. there is no ski / kit storage space by the front door so we found ourselves carrying kit through the living room to store it downstairs (including, amusingly, only four coat hooks for an apartment set up for 8 guests)

Very well appointed throughout. A proper high-end letting. Ski from the door to chairlift that links to main resort. Very convenient. Door is on main street - no lifts, no stairs and no dreaded communal boot room. No sun on balcony though!

We stayed for 1 week in March and the apartment was fantastic. It's very spacious and everything is new and well decorated. There's a full entertainment system on each TV (Netflix, YouTube etc.) and the rooms are all very comfortable. The apartment has it's own private sauna which is such a luxury after a day of skiing. Would highly recommend.

This is a very highly appointed apartment on the ground floor of the far corner of the Saskia building in the Falaise area of Avoriaz.
In terms of the location it is hard to beat. Firstly, the Falaise area is very close to the reception area and under cover car parks of car-free Avoriaz. This means you don’t need to worry about getting transport to the apartment when you arrive. Just get a couple of the wheeled sledges available to use for free (have your euro ready as it works on a shopping trolley style system) and it’s a 5 minute walk away.
SkiFun is 15 paces across the road for ski hire and the Sherpa supermarket 2 minutes walk away. The excellent bakery is about 25 paces across the road.
Come out of the apartment and you’re straight onto the Trashers nursery slope which leads onto the Lil Stash park and down to the Proclou lift. Go the other way through the buildings and a track leads you straight onto the Boulevard des Skieurs in the middle of town. At the end of the day take any of the lifts to the top of town (Proclou, Tour, Linderets etc) and then come down through the buildings past the Medical centre into the Falaise area.
The apartment itself is pretty much as the photos, although some of the light fightings are different in the living area. The kitchen had everything we needed and the bedrooms were well appointed. The bathrooms are excellent. The sauna, bathroom, heated boot rack and laundry/ storage room downstairs were all of high quality and very useful.
There were a few negatives. Firstly there was so much snow that getting in and out of the flat was tricky. The ‘road’ was 2 metres above door level. Also the terrace had so much snow on it and the fence that there was virtually no view to speak of. The snow is not the fault of those running the apartment but the lack of effort to deal with it is. In particular there should have been some effort to create a safe route out of the apartment.
Secondly some of the fittings need attention. One of the lights in the living room was hanging down and had no shade. One of the bathroom radiators was loose. There are no hooks anywhere (apart from by the front door and beside the sauna). There is nowhere to hang clothes if you wash them (we used the sauna!)
Final criticism is lack of instructions, whether how to use the applicances, sauna, or the complex lighting. Also some general advice on the area would have been nice.
That said, this is a very nice apartment and is recommended.

The apartment had nearly everything one could need for 8 people. It was spacious and had a great communal living area. Skiing was easy as it was a case of skiing down to the slopes in less than 5 minutes. However, we had children in the Village Des Enfants ski school which I was told would be a five minute ski, however, its very partially up hill which made it very difficult as we had to pull 3 children with skis etc.
I really couldn't fault the apartment but if I had to I would say that it was lacking a toilet downstairs as the only one for all to use is just off the main living area. Plus there was a lack of mirrors and extra pillows in the bedrooms.
Thanks for a lovely stay, we would definitely recommend this apartment to others.
