The location was good.

Communication problems made staying here an unpleasant experience. If I returned to Dakar, I'd stay somewhere more modern. The first day I went to breakfast and it was fairly meager, it wasn't until the 2nd day that I discovered, they would prepare eggs for you if you asked the right person. Again, no communication. The staff seemed helpful, and if they really were I could forgive the dying roach and all the mildew in my bathroom or the outlets that didn't work but their help always ended up causing more problems for me.

the rooms smelled like old smoke. The hotel could use some refreshment. It is a pity because the hotel is beautiful but run down.

The personnel is very much available and gentle but they can't do miracles.

No hot water for most part of the day and during 17 days. The hotel rooms have not been renovated since 1980. Absolutely NO VALUE FOR MONEY.

Taxi tariffs to the airport were displayed on the hotel board. However they are not accurate to what the taxi driver’s demand, so arguments ensue. Either the hotel should be accurate or compensate the client for the difference demanded by the driver
