We celebrated my son 10 birthday here and had a blast. We caught a good amount of large catfish and blue gills. The house was very clean and will absolutely come back. Host was very nice and prompt about replying back. Ty for letting us use your beautiful home

House is best property on lake

My family and I have stayed here for the last two years now. It is a perfect location for us with ample fishing and beautiful sunsets. You can’t beat the view. John (the owner) is always very responsive and accommodating! As our family has grown with two little ones, it is really nice to have the spacious house for everyone to have a little bit of their own space. The kitchen is stocked with new pots and pans and appliances like a toaster, blender, coffee maker. There is ample plates/silverware/baking items, limited salt/pepper and a few other seasonings. The only thing we would say to others visiting is that the house could use some better cleaning & maintenance of the outdoor front/back porches, the deck, and the outdoor furniture. The inside was mostly clean, despite the carpet in the living room needing to be vacuumed from visible dirt and stickers (there’s a vacuum in the entryway closet) and the tables wiped down (there were crumbs on the coffee table when we arrived). The outdoor table and chairs on the lower deck are completely covered with spiders so much so that they are completely unusable and starting to fall apart. The screens for the front and back doors are full of bugs. There is rodent poop all over the front porch at the front door so we mostly used the back entrance. It seems the house could just use a good deep clean and pressure wash. We hope to continue to enjoy this property in the future and recommend it to others!

We were part of a Vintage Hydroplane event held at Buckingham and were the envy of many who attended. We hosted a small gathering of 15 people ( from all over the country) on Thursday and Sunday evenings and everyone were in awe of the views and beautiful home. Thanks

I feel like we hit the jackpot finding this property! I can't imagine a more beautiful location on Clearlake. The house is on a point at Soda Bay. The views are magnificent and look out to a small island with a natural mineral spring. Each day we were surrounded by a variety of water fowl (Canadian geese, white pelicans, mallard ducks, cormorants, egrets, coots) that were very
enjoyable to watch. The house had everything we needed and we would certainly stay there again.

My Fanny and I absolutely loved this house on the lake. It’s the perfect location with amazing views. It was also so nice to have a private dock to park our boat and jet skis.

Property was located perfectly to wakeboard and surf in the amazing water. Dock worked out for our boat. Views and sunsets were incredible!!

This is a great property. It is a newer home on the lake and is well maintained. We caught a few huge catfish off of the dock. One was 13.88 lbs. We had a few minor issues which I reported to the manger. Upon our arrival, we noticed a chair leg was broken in the living room, a latch on the gate to the dock was broken and we were unable to use the tv downstairs. I notified the manger on our last day, since these issues didn’t affect us to much. We have stayed here before and enjoyed the property. One other thing I would mention.
The property next door (3001)was rented to a group who partied and played heavy metal into the night. One night, they were up ‘til well past 2 in the morning. This was our first time renting on the lake in the summer, so, it should be noted that this may be a seasonal possibility if you want to stay here. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay immensely. We saw bald eagles, various other birds and bats at night!

Great place to stay. The AC was awesome. Nice and cool inside it was 102+ outside... a hot clear lake week. It has everything you need. Great views and location. Host was very helpful. We will be back.

Inside was clean and accurate listing. Dock should have plug in access for boats that need battery charging. Tight roads to get to property and absolutely cannot have trailers as indicated. I launched out of State Park and they let me leave my trailer there so was very convenient. Would have been good to have downstairs patio chairs and table set up. Check in is very late but otherwise great place to hang out with friends for the weekend.

Great house right on the water, the island in front is full of wildlife. Great for kayaking and paddling. Looks like great fishing too.

With the receding water the house is unique with a new biers sanctuary right in front of the house. We even saw a bald eagle a few times!

This house was perfect for hanging by the lake with friends. The kitchen and decks provide plenty of space to cook and entertain. Plus John is easy to get a hold of and was able to drop of additional propane to ensure we'd be able to grill all weekend.

If you are looking for a beautiful home with gorgeous lake views and sunsets, this is the home.
Lovely decor, well stocked and a spacious area to relax and renew at the Fosters home in Clearlake. The views are picturesque and the bird life completely entertaining. We truly enjoyed our stay. We did some boating, wine tasting and heavy lounging. We even enjoyed some Rum Runners at the dock of the Richmond Bar &Grill.

Relaxing Stay
There were great views for this property, we enjoyed some quality family time and my husband really loved this location for fishing despite no luck with catching anything! Would love to stay again.

Lake is disgusting, leaches in water. No fireworks
The house itself is beautiful and views are amazing but the outside was not maintained i.e. spider webs, bird droppings and dust all over furniture and deck, ants etc.. If you are expecting a "lake house" this is not the place. The water is disgusting like really really disgusting. Leaches, moss, dead fish floating, algae, trash etc. The water doesn't come close to the house at all and where it is close it's disgusting and stinks. It's almost as if the town was abandoned and the locals knew not to swim here but we had no idea came expecting to swim but eww. Literally like a beautiful home on a swamp. Thought we would see fireworks on the lake but you cannot see them at all. Drove to lower lake for fireworks and it was like tweaker central hills have eyes vibes.

Had a great time amid low water levels
Property and house was super clean! Very nice and amazing lake views!
Water levels were low but that means more penninsula exposed for exploring by our toddlers. No luck fishing for us and was too windy for toddlers in a kayak, but lots of fisherman caught near us / in front of us.
Would love to see house again when water levels are full but all in all we loved our stay!

No Water Access!
We had a good time and made the best of the situation. John was very kind and responsive until I sent a personal DM inquiring about the lake level and access to the dock. Radio silence. House was very clean inside yet was difficult for my family to relax and enjoy the patio/outside as there was so many swallow birds flying around making nests all over the house and the bird poop was excessive on decks and furniture. So many swallows we actually had one fly inside as we entered the house. We were able to catch and release unharmed but we were not able to use the outside deck other than the BBQ. The dock was inaccessible for our boat and had to drive 20min to launch the boat daily due to Clearlake Vista Launch ramp being closed (low water level) as that was the recommended marina to launch. Minimal parking for boats and trailer. Overall had a good time and would like to see prices relative to the current lake conditions and advertisement. The lake is over 7' low and should reflect or update.

We had such a lovely time. The house was so nice and relaxing that we never left to go out anywhere. We did move the couch so that it faced the windows. That way we could enjoy that beautiful view. (we put it back though)Thank you so much for sharing your home.

Clear Lake Paradise
My experience with this place was great! John was very polite and kind. Had a blast kayaking and fishing here, caught lots of fish! I would recommend this to you all!

Surprising
Beautiful location & home. Would of been nice to have festive/holiday decorations up given I stayed over Christmas. Nearest store & food miles away so be aware esp if any weather concerns. Must bring your own coffee & many supplies that seem basic. Not a great responsiveness to questions asked. Bring extra clothes/blankets if staying on top floor (non master room) there’s a door connecting the room to outside & while it’s lovely without heat/a vent visible in the room it was freezing in there & an uncomfortable temperature. Other than that very beautiful home, spacious, amazing view, & property.

Off Season Fishing trip
A couple weeks ago, we rented a great VRBO on the shore of Clearlake. We have been experimenting by checking out different VRBO Rentals around the lake. This one has 3 bedrooms/2 baths and it’s own dock. This is one of the better rentals around the lake. The owner supplies very good soaps and the kitchen is well supplied. The home is newer and well kept. The parking is private and secure behind a locked gate. I highly recommend this home if you are interested in fishing without the need of a boat. We fished from the dock and around the peninsula. The lake is at a historic low water mark now. The peninsula is usually under water.
This time of year is actually the off season for fishing Clearlake, but, my husband caught 4 large catfish. Three of them he caught close to the dock. One 10.41 lb. specimen, we kept and had for dinner that night. The others were about the same size and lived to see another day, 😂. He released those. I stopped fishing after he caught the first one. You can only eat so much fish and I felt 10 lbs. was enough IMO, 😂.

Beautiful view
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here at the Soda Bay lakefront home. The home has a full kitchen that takes complete advantage of the lake view. I really liked that there was already dish soap, sponge and hand soap available for us upon arrival. The same with both full baths - soap, shampoo & conditioner & hair dryers supplied. The rooms are nicely appointed and very spacious. It's situated in a very quiet neighborhood so if you are looking for some respite, i would definitely stay here. We found it so relaxing, quiet and peaceful that only after a day...we felt like we had already been there for a week. The small town of Lakeport is a short drive away with small shops, restaurants and a nice park right by the water. We hope to visit again soon. Thank you very much!

Beautiful Lake House
What an absolutely beautiful property! So much space both indoors and outdoors. Gorgeous kitchen and great amenities. The location was perfect for hiking, and kayaking just a bit down the lake.
