The property was perfect for our group and had a great view! Highly recommend!

We brought our dogs and took advantage of the 25 acres for morning walks. The location was quite convenient to Wintergreen for skiing. The house was very spacious, and the teens claimed the downstairs as their own. Bruce was a great host!

House was exactly as advertised and was very clean! House was perfect for our family trip. Perfect house close to Charlottesville, wineries, breweries and Cideries! Bruce was very responsive and provided some excellent recommendations as well!

You could not ask for a better view! Incredible mountain views with plenty of space for our dogs to run around! House is beautiful with a great kitchen and wrap around porches. So private yet so close to the famous Nelson 151 road with loads of wineries, cideries and breweries. Neighboring areas worth driving to were Staunton, Charlottesville, Crozet and North Garden. You will feel like you are driving in a painting! Wonderful place to relax and unwind. Host was super friendly and helpful. Will definitely come back!

Perfect for our traveling party of 8 adults. The kitchen/living room open floor plan provided plenty of space to move about. Wooded lot offered lots of peace and quiet as well as a number of walking trails for hiking. Fire pit area had plenty of seating for us all. Spectacular views of the surrounding mountains especially from the upper level porch which wraps entirely around the house. Highly recommended.

The pictures don’t do this house justice. It’s gorgeous, spacious and sits on private property. Everything was clean and easily accessible. I would definitely stay again.

Beautiful home on a wooded property, but with a gorgeous view from the 2nd floor wrap-around porch. Well-equipped kitchen, AC when needed. A great weekend retreat for us

Met with friends (two other couples) to have an extended weekend. Great, quiet place that was pup friendly and had plenty of places nearby to drive to. Including the Blue Ridge Tunnel, breweries, wineries and a fantastic BBQ place! Plus we loved the open floor plan, fire pit and beautiful view from the wrap-around porch!

We rented this quiet and comfortable home to host an annual family trip. The days were filled with outdoor adventures and sight seeing to Charlottesville. There are many things to do close to this property and our days were full. We enjoyed coming back to the house to make meals, build a fire in the zen garden, play a rousing game of Catan, watch out Avs beat Tampa on their way to the Stanley Cup and do some porch sitting. The views are beautiful, the beds comfortable, the bathrooms clean, the communication with Bruce fantastic! We would highly recommend this property

The place was very spacious and clean. Great location to chill and hang out, and very close to nearby breweries and within range of golf courses. Host was very responsive and we had a great time.

Thank you so much for a wonderful spring break! This was our second time staying here and we hope to go back again next year! The house has plenty of room and has all of the amenities one would need while there. It is very clean as well. The front porch is perfect for morning coffee and the fire pit is the perfect way to end the day with roasted marshmallows. The trails on the property are just right for a short morning walk. The house is in close proximity to Wintergreen and there many hiking trials in the area. We can't wait to head back!

I recently stayed here with a group of friends to celebrate my birthday. The house is well appointed, had plenty of room for all of us, and close to all wineries, cideries and Wintergreen. It was a perfect place to enjoy so much around. The owner, Bruce, had great communication and was quick to answer any questions. You won't be disappointed!

We had such a great time staying at Bruce’s house. The house is absolutely beautiful. We had 3 families there and had plenty of room. Kids were able to hike and run around the wrap around porch. We were nervous it would be too far from Wintergreen Resort, but the drive was actually pretty easy. Bruce was also a fantastic house. Easy to get a hold of and very accommodating. I would highly recommend this house and plan on staying here again!!!

The process was easy and the property was beautiful. We stayed for a long ski weekend, and the commute to Wintergreen was easy. The lost convenience of being on the mountain was more than made up for by the truly spectacular views and the peace and quiet. Be aware that the fourth bedroom is more of a basement living room with a couch that can be used for kids. There is the couch in that room, and then a comfortable futon in the basement as well. It easily sleeps 10, but some adults might not want to sleep in "beds" 7-10, which are the couch and the futon. This was no issue for us, and the whole property was great. Likewise the owner was helpful and easy to work with. All in all, a fantastic property that is great for a ski weekend, a tour of the wineries and breweries, or even a visit to UVA or Monticello (which is about 30 minutes away)

We very much enjoyed our time here! The kitchen was fantastic with all the things we needed to make meals for our group. We hiked some of the property in the snow and watched the sunrises and sunsets against the mountains that surround the house. The views are spectacular!! We were kind of thrown off by some of the photos and arrangements of sleeping spaces but, we were able to make it work. If you’re planning to bring the 10 guests this property accommodates, you’ll really want to pay attention to the descriptions. We thought the couch downstairs folded out to two twin beds, but it doesn’t- it’s a chaise ( twin sized) and an angular section that can accommodate a small person, but not the 6’4” guy we had with us. Also, the space with the futon does not have a door for privacy, the futon is in a pass through hall kind of area at the bottom the steps. Everything was really clean, very comfortable, the location was fantastic and homeowner very helpful and responsive! We are hoping to make another visit in the spring to experience the property without snow and hopefully hang out by the amazing zen garden fire pit. Highly recommend!

We had a great week hiking in the area and spending the holiday with family. The house and location were perfect.

We had such a wonderful weekend getaway at this property. Beautiful views, fantastic space accommodations for all eight of our girls, and close to some amazing wineries and breweries. Bruce was also easy to get ahold of for random questions about the property throughout the weekend and we were very grateful for that. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and hope to come back soon!

Our family enjoyed the atmosphere. We spent a lot of time on the porch and in the garden. We hiked a mountain hike and a river hike and enjoyed the local breweries. Thank you!
