This is probably the best way to enjoy a girls weekend away! The place was amazing, wanted to do something different and we got it! Such an amazing experience! Close to everything, driving distance mostly. Girls are already planning this as a yearly adventure! I would have to say this is probably one of the best ways to stay down in the Keys!

This was an excellent vacation in the beautiful Lower Keys of Florida. The boat owner, Mr. Verdi, and Boat Captain, Gavin, went out of their way to ensure all of our accommodations were in place prior to our arrival and departure. We met with the boat manager, Ray, upon arrival. It was very easy communicate with Mr. Verdi. However, we were too busy enjoying the Keys, he actually checked on us. One of our most memorable moments was the opportunity to go on a sunset cruise commandeered by Captain Gavin, snorkeling on the Florida Barrier Reef and fishing! Our pictures were phenomenal. Staying on a boat in a marina was perfect for our family secondary to the logistics/close proximity to Key West. We loved spending time at the sandbars at Mudd Key and Jewfish Basin (the water was spectacular). taking the cultural/historical food tour of Key West, snorkeling at Fort Zachary Taylor, the Fury Ultimate Adventure, Cuban Coffee and the food at the Hogfish Bar and Grill. This vacation was nothing, but extraordinary!

Nice boat but different from the one rented supposedly better but no A/C in master bedroom and no tv unless you have an Iphone. Booked Sunday night and check out Friday morning, on Tuesday afternoon, before 2, Monroe county sheriff told us we didn't do anything wrong but this boat was for charter only we couldn't stay overnight again and had too leave or would be considered tressspassing. Had just gotten married that morning. Had to make other staying arrangements. Been trying to handle off line with owner who has communicated thru text that he will call to discuss refund tomorrow but then does not. I hope he does the right thing here so I can update with better news.

Enjoyed the boat completely and very close to a great restaurant. Rated location OK because of an area you go through to get there. That area is going away soon so it will be great after that. Owner very nice person

There is plenty of space to spread out we only had 3, but could easily have 4 or 5 adults. The 3rd bunk room makes it ideal for 2 couples and some kids. The thing to remember is this is a boat and as such has quarks. Do not expect a resort hotel and you will have a great time. Ray did a great job checking in and catering to needs. Contact him in advance so you can go over unique items of staying on a boat. Only negative is the marina not friendly. Pool is very small, to the point of not to consider it in equation. The neighborhood has no close groceries and has little shopping in walking distance. Hog Fish Grill and fish market are great.

Keys Livin is a nice place on the water with a few great places to hang out near by. Parking/access to the property is challenging.Very narrow, one car in or out at a time road to the boat, no parking at the boat had to park in a separate area that is also used by a local restaurant. Had fun sitting on the back deck watching Tarpon and Parrott fish right next to boat.

No crowds or parking problems. Great area to eat a d easy access to everything. It was a perfect get away weekend.

We had a great stay Alex was very accommodating. Told us some of the cool places to go in Keywest. It’s right next to Hogfish bar and grill. Jimmy Buffett made a surprise appearance there. I thought that was pretty cool. We had a great time and look forward to coming back to the area soon. Thanks Alex

Both Alex & Ray checked in daily & restocked supplies as needed. Two great restaurants within walking distance. Many Ubers around for transportation. Friendly neighbors nearby. Three bedrooms & two baths were perfect for our group of four.

My sister & l with our husbands (all in our early 60's) wanted a quick trip to Key West & ran across this listing, It sounded intriguing so we booked it. We are familiar with the area so already knew the location. Hogfish Bar is a quick walk with great food. I think we all agree the best part was the beds. They were very comfy, like sleeping on clouds with the small sway of the water added in. All contact from Alex was quick & he was very nice to check in on us during our stay.

Alex was very quick to respond to any questions we had.

I really don't like writing bad reviews and I've never had to in the dozens of places I've rented over the years but this place is not good. It is grossly overpriced-two nice suites at a nearby resort would be less-and it was filthy when we arrived. The carpets were dirty, the sitting deck was dirty, the sheets in the guest bedroom were dirty and needed to be changed. There were cherios or something on the pillows in the bunk area? and the cushions on the back deck sitting area were filthy/stained. It was clear that the place hadn't seen a cleaning in a long time. Further, the steps on to the boat are treacherous, one of only 3 deck chairs is broken and the deck floor is a mess. The hatch in the guest bedroom leaks badly and it's pretty clear by the damage that this is not a new issue. To Alex's credit he does respond to messages and offered to "try" to get someone out to clean the place but by the time you have arrived and found it a mess you set about cleaning it yourself and you don't want to have to have a cleaning person running about while you are trying to enjoy your vacation. Other issues: •We were told by Alex's man when we arrived that we had a parking spot and to park anywhere. We were later told that we did not have a parking space (due to hurricane damage - fair enough) and that our car was about to be towed. The guy who runs the place does not explain this-just yells at you and makes threats. Very rude. •Alex asked us not to write a bad review in exchange for a discount. I suggested the place was worth 1/2 (or less) of what we paid if it was clean but that in any case I would be writing an honest review. •We rented this place based on the reviews-which many of us do - reading them now it's difficult to believe they are describing the same boat? •The boat is in a pretty serious state of neglect. Oven doesn't work, two fridges don't work, one does - there is a spare bar fridge though, wood trim is worn-particularly on the back sitting area. It's a shame because with a little effort it could be pretty nice •Don't count on cooking there as we did-no frying pan, one pot and few utensils and again the oven does not work. I would not recommend renting this place. The description in the ad is not accurate and the reviews are suspect. And another word of caution-the boat rocks a lot sitting in calm harbor so if you tend to get a little sea sick-bring gravol. Also the area it is in is dicey, run down and dirty, but safe.

This was our 2nd time staying on a boat in Key West (1st time on Keys Livin) and is the only way we’ll ever vacation there. Alex’s boat is super comfortable, well-stocked and clean. The location is perfect- quiet, friendly and safe. Alex was a great host who had tons of recommendations and checked in periodically to make sure we had everything we needed. We’re already looking forward to the next time we can visit.

Where else can you get gently rocked to sleep each night but your own private boat. Hangin with the locals and meeting the nicest people ever and having fresh fish every day ! Truly a remarkable vacation and anniversary celebration! Thank you Alex and Ray

We had a great time staying on the yacht!!! It was so relaxing and fun!!! We had never stayed in a boat before and the owner made it so easy. We will definitely be renting this one again next year!!!

The boat was spacious and clean with plenty of fridge space :). The one bunk room is strange, but if you have little kids, they will enjoy it. The owner is prompt with responses and the extra shower space in the marina was a nice option with 3 of us on the boat.

We could have stayed at a hotel, but staying on a yacht was just what we needed to take our vacation to the next level. We knew we were in for an adventure, but honestly, the pictures didn't do this yacht justice. It is bigger and nicer than the pictures made it look. To say we were pleased is an understatement. We had a great time, my wife and I and our 4 kids. The service and communication with the owner and staff was friendly and accessible, above and beyond. The property was clean and everything we needed was in order. This was a vacation for the books! We are so happy that we were able to have this epic adventure for the kids where we take only pictures and leave only bubbles. Biggest thanks to the owner for making this such a great experience!

We were very comfortable on the boat and the host was very helpful and available throughout our stay! This was a fun and unique place to stay while visiting key west and Dry Tortugas.

When we went to check in there was no power and it was dark. Fell in boat and hurt my knees. Found food that was rotted in refrigerator and property owner was unresponsive. Air conditioning was awful and several of us slept in our car

My husband and I stayed on the yacht with our 3 children and had a wonderful time. The locals were friendly. Food at Hogfish grill was excellent. Got a true feel for the Old Key West style while staying at this marina. We Plan to return!

We had a great time staying on the boat. We are "boat people" and enjoyed our short_term marina living. The location is walking distance to Hogfish Grill, which is a blast, and is also close to great fishing charters. The responsiveness of the property owner and property manager was exceptional and the check-in process was super-easy. If you enjoy boat life, you will enjoy this experience.

Ultimately, we got what we thought we would. A gently used and well-loved boat for three days. There were plenty of towels, toilet paper, and glassware for three adults. The single improvement I would make on the listing is to make sure future guests underestand just how small the third "bedroom" is. Only big enough for two small children. Besides that, the furniture was comfortable, the location was fantastic (the Hogfish is worth every penny we spent there) and the locals are friendly. Alex's communication was fast and helpful and friendly as well. We'd definitely stay here again if we make it to K West again.
