This is the 3rd time our family has stayed at this property, and it was amazing! The kitchen was redone since the last time we stayed and it is gorgeous! We love how close the home is to the beaches we like. Its spacious and quiet at the property, which is perfect for a vacation away from the stress of work! The owner as always is wonderful and very responsive (she brought us a stock pot for our clam bake when we realized we didn't have one, and helped with the AC when we had an issue.). Overall, this is an amazing rental and we hope to come back and stay in it again next summer!

Beautifully appointed home with everything one could wish for. We like cooking and it was a pleasure to use the well equipped kitchen. Wellfleet is very well situated to visit much of Cape Cod. We enjoyed a day trip to Nantucket, sailing and fishing from a motor boat in Wellfleet bay, jet skiing in Dennis and body boarding at the local beaches. We would happily stay again.

Very well equipped, spacious, and tastefully decorated property - great TV and audio system. Convenient but secluded location. Teenagers loved the table tennis. Delightful and helpful owners. Highly recommended.

Our family loved staying at this charming house in South Wellfleet. The house itself is beautifully appointed and well-stocked and is in an excellent location for exploring the upper cape. We loved the back porch and table-tennis in the basement. Great food, beaches, rail trail nearby. Would highly recommend!

The house was beautifully decorated with great details suck as freshly cut flowers & a helpful high tide/low tide clock. We loved the porch & hammock and all of the outside details as well.

We had a feeling this was going to be a nice rental based on previous reviews, but the actual experience surpassed high expectations. The house truly feels like a home; it's beautifully decorated and comes complete with all of the requisite accouterments for an idyllic Cape experience . . . beach toys, a grill, picnic table and firepit, peaceful backyard and gracious hosts. We'll be back if we are lucky enough to find it available next time around.

This is a very nice house in a nice location. We especially enjoyed hanging out on the large porch. There is also a hammock in the yard and a gas grill. We made most of our own meals on the grill or inside, where there is a Thermador range and a nice set of pans. There are good fish markets nearby in Wellfleet and in Orleans. The house is attractive and uncluttered and the beds are very comfortable. My only complaint is that the bathroom has a clawfoot tub with a shower curtain and over-the-tub showerhead. This makes a very confined space for showering and it is actually a little tough for some of us in the 50+ age range to step up into the tub for showering. You can bike from the house to several Wellfleet beaches and of course, to PB Boulangerie. We were impressed with how well maintained the house is. The owner also has a good selection of books to browse, including ones on Cape Cod architecture. The owner always responded quickly to questions/concerns and is very friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

My husband, 2 kids and I had an amazing stay in Abigail’s house. It’s beautiful and comfortable with high end touches (appliances, tv and sound). The porch was a great place to begin and end each day and the closeness to the Wellfleet ocean beaches and Wellfleet itself was appreciated. All in all, a fantastic stay and we would definitely stay again.

Staying in Abigail's beautiful home was one of the most relaxing Cape visits we have ever had. The house was immaculate, the beds comfortable, and Abigail was a wonderful host. She was happy to answer any questions that came up during our stay. We fell in love with the large, shaded porch to the point that it was hard to motivate ourselves to leave it each day. The grill, hammock, fire pit, and outdoor shower completed the outdoor experience. Overall, an absolutely great place to stay.

What a beautiful house! The house was spotless upon arrival, and everything we needed was there. The house and surrounding property is extremely comfortable, and was a wonderful oasis for us during the week. Abigail was a fantastic hostess and clearly has the best in mind for her guests. She was a pleasure to work with, and very helpful with recommendations on the best restaurants and fun activities in the area. The location of the house can't be beat - short drives to all of the ponds, Wellfleet's town center, restaurants, etc. Close enough to the action, but a nice quiet neighborhood to return to. I hope that we will be back!

The owner has created a home which is elegantly furnished and comfortable. The back porch is a dream (for us city dwellers!) & looks out into the pine woods giving a feeling of calm & seclusion—there are other houses along Day Rd but it is so quiet & peaceful you would hardly know it. Everything is as described, and the house is very clean, well maintained, and well equipped. The owner is responsive and helpful in her replies to questions and is a pleasure to deal with. I would highly recommend this house to anyone I know—in fact I have rented it several times in the past few years. It's the perfect place for immersing yourself in the seclusion of Wellfleet and the beauty of the Cape. JW

We have been lucky enough to stay at this beautiful house several times over the last few years and couldn't be happier we found it. We've stayed at other vacation rentals in Wellfleet and Eastham over the years, and while we've had some good experiences and some bad, we never feel as comfortable and at home as we do here. The location is close enough to the ocean but is on a lovely, quiet street well removed from rt 6 noise or beach traffic. The house itself is totally unlike any other rental we've stayed at -- open and airy, immaculately clean, full of light, and simply but elegantly decorated with a real emphasis on the comfort of guests. The garden overflows with flowers, and there's a grill and hammock which we took advantage of daily. The ping pong table was an added bonus! Abigail was the perfect host. She gave us absolute privacy, but was available whenever we needed her or had a question about restaurants or local attractions. We will definitely be staying here again!

We have stayed in a number of homes in Wellfleet and Truro and this is by far our FAVORITE place to stay! Abigail's home is comfy, cozy, clean, and peaceful. No details have been spared with this home - the kitchen is well stocked, there is a gorgeous claw foot bathtub, a big porch for reading and drinking coffee or cocktails...the list goes on! The home is just the right size and is designed for both privacy and hanging out. There is an awesome game room in the basement, complete with a ping pong table! You can take strolls on the quiet, winding roads to the local ponds and the beach. The cottage is located near everything you could ever need. Abigail stays in an adorable cottage off the back of the property and is there if you need her, otherwise, it feels like you are living in your OWN dreamy, Cape Cod escape! We can't wait to come back next summer!

We've returned to this wonderful Wellfleet house for many summers now. It's a true gem! We love its open layout, comfy furniture and peaceful back porch - everything you need for a relaxing vacation. It's also spotless and lovingly decorated. As you can see from the photos - it's a home, not simply a rental property. Other things we love: it's conveniently located on the ocean side of Rt 6 (avoid traffic to get to ponds, town); has a well-stocked kitchen (quality cookware and knives, serving platters) as well as a large, well-maintained gas grill; AND has low & high tech diversions in case of bad weather (ping pong table, fantastic home media set-up with streaming movies, excellent wifi). In addition to plenty of fresh and saltwater swimming, our family's Wellfleet traditions include biking the CC Rail Trail, stargazing by a bonfire on Newcomb Hollow Beach (permits are limited - get to Beach Office before it opens), and watching the sun set while chowing down fried clams and oysters at Mac's Shack (Wellfleet Harbor). The homeowner, Abigail, is terrific- she's responsive to any questions/concerns as well as respectful of your privacy. Moreover, she's super generous with her gardens (flowers and veggies galore) and grounds (when our daughter was young and into building forts in the woods Abigail would set aside lumber for her to use). We have so many lovely memories of vacations spent here. thank you, Abigail, for sharing your home - we look forward to making more memories next summer (Billingsgate Island - here we come!).

We spent 8 wonderful nights in this beautifully decorated, clean, comfortable home. The open kitchen/living area was delightful for conversation while cooking in the fully equipped kitchen. The farmers porch was our favorite spot to lounge, overlooking beautiful flower gardens and a private wooded back yard. The ping pong table was a real hit, and the outdoor shower just the best. Location cannot be beat, able to ride to the Rail Trail in just a few minutes, as well as to purchase luscious French bakery items at PB Boulangerie. Abigail has been extremely responsive, and provided more than adequate information in advance of our stay about the house, ect...Looking forward to returning in the future!

It is important to note that the owner lives in a studio on the property. In a conversation before we rented the house, she told us that she would be present “as much or as little” as we wanted her to be. Reassured that we would have the autonomy one would expect when paying top dollar for a rental on the Cape, we booked it. On Sunday we told Abigail of our plan to have a gathering of friends and extended family, a total of 20 including us, for a backyard dinner we had planned to celebrate our 60th birthdays. She raised no objection to the number of people or the food truck that would be catering for us. In fact, on Monday she offered, unsolicited, to set up additional seating and tables for us. At 10:45 on Wednesday the morning of our dinner, Abigail informed us that us we did not have her permission to hold our dinner “at her home”. She refused to discuss her reasons or any solutions we proposed e.g. picking up the food ourselves, shuttling guests from off-site parking, ending early etc. Her only response was “I changed my mind”. This turnabout came less than 48 hours after she had fully supported our plans. We were in complete shock and bewilderment. There was nothing in our rental agreement or rules of the house stating any restrictions on renters with regard to gatherings at the home. In fact, we were well within our legal rights as renters to host this gathering. We could not find another place at such short notice to accommodate the caterer and our group (including two parents in their 80s with limited mobility). We had no choice but to cancel the food and our get-together. Abigail’s sudden about-face cost us money, great inconvenience and much distress. The remainder of our vacation was tainted by the experience. We are responsible, mature adults who have rented on the Cape for many years. We have held similar gatherings each year without a single incident or complaint from owners or neighbors. We treated the home and Abigail with the utmost respect, but she did not reciprocate. To sum it up, this owner turned out to be unpredictable, unprofessional and unreasonable in her dealings with us.

We had a relaxing and enjoyable stay in this well appointed home. The owners are very accommodating and welcoming. The exterior shower is the best we have ever used. We will definitely return.

My family and I stayed here in August 2014 (It wouldn't let me go back that far). We still always talk about how great this place is. The house was gorgeous and filled with all kinds of creative decorations and fresh air. It is also well-furnished and comfortable. The property is situated on a nice road too that is great for evening walks. I loved the claw foot tub and the plants. We would definitely return!
