Views were beautiful, very clean and modern apartment. Hosts went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Hosts were easy to access.

What a lovely modern well designed and equipped apartment. Everything that we wanted was at our fingertips! And what a wonderful view from the balcony!!!

Amazing place and hosts. Picturesque views, awesome pool and very comfortable apartment for the 2 of us. Location is perfect being just far enough out of town to avoid the traffic, but yet a great market within 5 mins. Access to the island is great from here. The fresh bread delivered each morning was such a treat along with the gift wine and fruit upon arrival.

The nice thing is all the windows in the apartment, but our particular unit had SW sun exposure, so it heated up a bit even in upper 70's temps... A/C would have been nice to come into after hiking around all day, but the evenings were perfect with windows open.

This property is beautiful, it is located in a perfect location in the middle of the Island and very close to downtown. The host/owner Matilde is very friendly, warm and hospitable. This property has large grounds that where very enjoyable, we traveled with two young children, and they loved running around outside and playing soccer. We rented all three apartments and all were modern and very well equipped and designed. The views are amazing with floor to ceiling sliding doors, as well as the very large deck, with dinning tables and loungers. All three apartments were very clean and the beds were comfortable. I highly recommend this property and hope to stay here again soon!

Very beautiful, luxury, friendly host, pool, large rooms, very complete.

Only thing was the road in front of the property.

I would like to emphasise how fantastic Luis and Matilde were as hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. They were informative, knowledgeable and very hospitable. The apartment was cleaned halfway through the stay. We had the garden, lower apartment which was perfect. It was private yet we could access the beautiful pool and gardens with views of the hills and sea. The apartments are in the grounds of the owners house and therefore any concerns or questions can be answered quickly. Matilde brought us bread rolls every morning which was such a special treat and we were treated to a welcome basket on the day of our arrival.

Just to note that when visiting the Azures, it is recommended to hire a car as the public transport is not frequent.

This is the perfect apartment/guesthouse for SAO Miguel, central location, minimalistic modern, fire place but best of all our host Matilde. From the welcome basket, cheese, wine, Bolos (bread) and the most delicious selfmade guava jam, to the service, beautiful manicured gardens everything was just picture perfect. Matilde is was so helpful, warm and friendly, we felt like her friends not paying guests. All her tips were spot-on and we reluctantly left after 3 nights. The central location of Quintas las Camelias was perfect for road trips to either side of the island. The Azores are so beautifully overwhelmingly fabulous - Quintas das Camelias is your own little oasis at the end of the day. We will definitely be back.

Nice and spacious apartment with extra large balcony. We had a lovely welcome from the host, and a basket with local treats as well. Neighborhood were beautiful and green.

It was a bit cold in the bedrooms and bathroom, but luckily there was a small stove in the main room so it made the feeling much better. (We visited in the end of March, beginning of April)

Everything was amazing. Starting with the house abd ending witg each detail in our house.

I cound not find something I did not liked

We spent almost 2 weeks here, and we enjoyed every single day. The hosts are super kind, helpful and offering the service you usually do not expect nor get at self-serviced facilities (fresh bread every day, firewood, basket with local goodies such as wine, cheese, eggs, tea, milk and whatever you need to survive till your own shopping). The apartment is modern and comfortable, and the bed sheets devine. The beautiful garden surrounding the apartment is full of blooming camelias. We would love to come back here.

It was a perfect week at Quinta das Camelias. The owner waited for us and explained everything. Place is really impressive and well designed. We had a appartment with a beautiful ocean view. Place is well equipped, spacious and sunny with large terrace. The owner brought us fresh bread every day and wood to fireplace.

To reach the apartment you need car, but I think that car is necessary to travel thru the island, so I wasn't a problem. Important thing is that there is no heating (like in other place in Portugal and Azores) and in the evening it can be a little bit chilly. BUT you have a really nice fireplace, so it was a nice thing to make a fire in the evening. :)) I recommend it in 100% :))

The parking, as it was a bit hard to get the car out. The shower doesn’t really have good power for the hot water and the water is either very hot or cold. If on the terrace you hear cars almost all the time as there is a road nearby

Everything was perfect. The location is amazing, the apartment itself is fantastic - it's well equipped, well designed, with everything you need. Plus the view is amazing too. The hosts are friendly, helpful and were very flexible. This is genuinely one of the best apartments I've stayed in.

Everything was perfect! The apartment was nicer and bigger than we expected, the view from the huge balcony is amazing and the fireplace is very nice when it gets chilly in the evenings. We never had such amazing hosts, Matilde was so helpful and dedicated! We will come back for sure!

The appartment, swimmingpool and garden are really beautiful, perfect location, hygiene was very good. We were with 2 adults and 2 children and we enjoyed the stay very much. The check-in time was at our convenience early in the morning. The hospitality was so good and we received every morning bread which was not included but just a kind gesture. The appartment included every thing you need during a stay, including washing machine. If we ever visit Sao Miguel again, for sure we will go to Quinta das Camelias!
