Peaceful, relaxing, off the beaten path

The view and property was amazing. Loved sitting on the deck in the morning with my cup of coffee and watching the sun come up and light up the hillside. Also enjoyed soaking in the hot tub at the end of a long sight seeing day! Just a fabulous place stay!

The property we stayed in was very nice, with an open floor plan and plenty of room for our family of five adults and two grandchildren under a year in age. The property is centrally located to the majority of attractions in and around the Rapid City area and we did a number of day trips. The home is near the top of Edelweiss Mountain so 4-wheel drive is of benefit. Julie was very prompt and helpful in the booking process and with whatever questions we had about things to do. We enjoyed our evenings watching the sunset, hanging around the hot-tub and enjoying family time together on the main level of the home. The hot tub was very beneficial after a day of touring and/or hiking.

Was a problem with the hot tub but was fixed fast and everything was great!

This was the perfect family getaway cabin for our time in the Black Hills. Quiet with comfortable amenities. The view of the hills is spectacular and the fresh mountain air in the pines is the icing on the cake! We will be back!

Property was as advertised. Views off the deck are awesome. House was very comfortable and kitchen had all the tools needed for grilling. Black Hills are beautiful.

Very clean and tidy. The kitchen was fully stocked with all of the essentials we needed to cook our Christmas meal. The view was most amazing.

Very nice home with beautiful views. Weather ranged from warm and sunny to blizzard in span of four days, typical for Black Hills. The hot tub is seasonal, owner let us know when booking. It was a surprise that we weren’t able to use fireplace. The home had one of the best appointed kitchens git a VBRO that I have ever seen. It was a joy to cook for the family. Would love to return for a fall visit.

A wonderful place to stay with lots of room for everyone. Beautiful view with ample outdoor deck space for all. Very peaceful location far from the hustle-and-bustle of the city, but centrally located in the black hills making attractions easy to reach. The kids asked “when will be back,” we all loved the area and look forward to going back!

Spacious and very clean. Beautiful cabin with a great view. Large wrap around deck with plenty of room to enjoy sitting outside enjoying the quiet and peaceful surroundings that this secluded cabin has to offer. Sits high up in the mountain which meant a drive up on a gravel road but we didn’t mind, it was worth it! We have older children who loved the hot tub after a long day of sight seeing (which is all fairly close). Overall great experience for my family.

Plenty of space to stretch out with a great view. You are out there in the hills a bit, but you can quickly find you way to any attraction. We had a great time!

We traveled with a group of eight of us four adults and four children. The house was wonderful! Very clean and very detailed with instructions on what to do and what not to do. The location is beautiful. The first time of the mountain was a little bit scary not knowing how high were going but once we traveled it then we were familiar with the layout. Great place to stay!

My family had a great time. The cabin was exactly as advertised and we were able to add an additional day without any problem due to the expected snow storm. We enjoyed every minute.

This house is large & well equipped. It is set up with plenty of dishes & a well equipped kitchen. The beds were comfortable. Wildlife viewing on the road up was fun. It could use a little updating to make it really great. Really who doesn't have internet in a house? The TV's are not smart TVs. It did have cell phone service . My main complaint is the pay washing machine and dryer. We paid for the house don't charge $3 to wash a load of laundry.

This was a great place for our family's weekend get-together. It was secluded and quiet, and also very close to Pactola. Loved the wrap-around deck!

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. We enjoyed grilled dinners on the deck and time spent as a family. We were traveling with a 3 and 4 year old and there was plenty of space for them to play in the house. Only drawbacks for small children were limited outside space and a 15 minute drive to the main road.

The place is as beautiful as described. We loved how quiet it is. The check in process was smooth until we drove all the way up to the house and, Julie, the manager, texted us and said we’ll need to find a hotel to stay as the water pump wasn’t working after we already unpack everything. There was nothing open due to people traveling for the Fourth of July. I was getting very irritated and kept calling/texting Julie that she will need to find a place for us since we could not find anything and we have uncool meat in the cooler. After about an hour and a half, she texted back and said someone will be looking at the pump. Besides this and the kitchen floor and living room upstairs not being very clean, we loved our time up there. Sorry for not turning on the dishwasher before we left but I did let Julie know right away as I remember that we need to put all the dishes in the dishwasher but forgot if we had to turn it on or not.

We enjoyed your cabin very much. The only thing I could suggest is more light in the living rooms for games and reading. We could not find the switch for the ceiling fan/light in the gorgeous living room. Having the books there was special. Thank you.

My family went to the Black Hills for the Buffalo Roundup 2018. We stayed at this property and enjoyed the stay very much. Nice place-would definitely stay here again. Plenty of room for everyone, hot tub was great, nice and clean.

Excellent home. Very clean and spacious. All the necessary kitchen supplies are in house as well as multiple TVs, dish TV, and DVD players. The hot tub was superb. Great value on this mountain rental.

The Reinerhiem was a perfect location for our family vacation. The views were amazing and the house was clean and comfortable. Of the many VBRO places I've rented this one was among the best. I would not hesitate to recommend this location to anyone. If you are looking for a peaceful place to decompress and enjoy nature then look no further than the Reinerheim. The property management staff we awesome too.

This was an incredibly beautiful, secluded getaway. Located very close to Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Reptile Gardens, and many other places to see. Beautiful view from the deck for morning coffee and evening cocktails. The hot tub was a welcome addition after a day of sightseeing. Great place to stay to get away from it all. The only improvement would be if there was wifi available.
