This lake house was huge with plenty of space for everyone. The location was secluded and right next to a beautiful state park along with a short drive to restaurants and downtown. The owners were extremely nice and communicated well. They were also very flexible. We will 100% VRBO here again.

We had a great trip with our family of 5 and 2 four year olds. The house and location were fantastic. Plenty of room at the house for everyone to get together and also have time to themselves. A bathroom and shower on each floor was perfect. The kids loved swimming all day next to the dock while we fished from the dock. We enjoyed going on a few pontoon boat rides looking at the beautiful lake and area. A plus was the close proximity to Pokagon state park entrance. We hiked and the kids played at the playground and the nature center was a bonus. Happy 4 year olds happy adults. Looking forward to 2024 with a larger group !! The lake house is very spacious.

the hostesses were beyond friendly and the home is beautiful. we enjoyed are stay very much we had just enough room and being able to swim off the dock was a big plus.

The property was very clean, house had plenty of space and room to sleep for our four families and kids. Kitchen was well stocked, had everything we needed. Owners were easy to communicate with. Location is right around the corner from the sand bar and the views of the lake were amazing and very relaxing. Would definitely rent this property again!

Perfect location to celebrate graduation from Trine. This is our third time renting the house. Some family stayed at Pokagon and the rest at the house. Enjoyed a barbecue and hanging out with the family.

I stayed here with 7 of my friends for my bachelor party. The house is beautiful and so big! The location on Lake James is perfect and the owner let us rent their pontoon for an additional charge. The owners are an extremely nice couple and I can’t wait to come back next summer for another get together with my college friends.

The renters were very responsive, helpful, and supplied an amazing experience for our 3 families. The yard was a hit for kids and the beach area was perfect for in the water. We had plenty of space to bring and dock other watercrafts. They provided plenty of toys for kids and adults. The fire pit was a night time hit as well. We would definitely recommend and would rent again in the future ourselves.

The house is in a perfect location. Right near Pokagon State Park. Near the lodge, where more family stayed. We were able to celebrate birthdays on Saturday and Easter on Sunday.

Lake beauty and lots of relaxation
This house was a perfect fit for this hard-working mama. My kids and I stayed at the house while visiting my daughter at Trine U. The location was so close to school and town, but also 5 minutes from great hiking in the state park. Our first day was very cold and rainy but didn't bother us one bit. We had a pajama day, played cards and looked at the beautiful lake for hours. It obviously was too cold to get on or in the water, but it was still the perfect home for us. Laura, the owner, could not have been nicer and more helpful.. The house was very spacious, well stocked and extremely clean. A great getaway. I can't wait to go back.

Family Time
The location was perfect for the eight of us, the house was immaculate, and the owner was easily acccesible. We especially enjoyed the wildlife and the wonderful fire pit. We are already talking about a return trip.

Family Fun Weekend
Laura was excellent! Very responsive to my questions. Her home was very nice and well equipped. We used the home for getaway close to home. My parents, adult children, grandchildren and sister/brother and family were all present. 16 in all. We had a great time playing on the water during the day and playing games at night. So much fun with lots of memories made. Would have been easier if check out time could have been a little later. Was hard to get out by 10 am with little ones to wrangle. (Although I suspect Laura would have accommodated had I asked.) Would DEFINITELY choose to rent from Laura again! Thanks so much for sharing your home!

Great Place
Stayed10 days, place was very nice, owner was easy to work with. The pictures could include view from the bottom showing the entire steps from the lawn to the first floor and from the parking area down to back porch . Weather was perfect and the swimming area was great

Wonderful house in a great location!
We have been renting houses on Lake James for the past five years. This was our first stay at Laura‘s house, and I immediately knew that this was going to be the house we rented every year here on out. The space is ample but also provides privacy for larger groups. The yard is flat and grassy out to the lake. The beach is hard and Sandy. The location is unbeatable you are basically inside pokagon State Park. We have already booked again for next year!

Lake James is always fun. This house has perfect location and layout. Awesome owners have SUPs, kayaks. Cornhole, cards, so on all there for use. Nice people.

Beautiful lake house with all the amenities and conveniences of home. We found the home clean and well stalked. It was perfect for our multi-generational family getaway. The sandy beach front was great for the kiddos and when we were not boating we enjoyed the deck, patio and gorgeous views of Lake James. We would love to come back.

Bachelorette lake trip
The house and pontoon was perfect. The house was beautiful and in a perfect location. It was very close to the sand bar by boat which we enjoyed. Also we were able to walk or drive to the state park to enjoy the trails.

Beautiful place to stay.
This house was amazing with a beautiful view, the hosts were very informative prior to our arrival, the house was clean, and we had no issues with check-in, no issues with our stay, and they even coordinated mowing the lawn when we weren't going to be there. We will be staying here again in the very near future.

The Lake James Cottage was very comfortable, clean, and in a great location for our family’s post-Christmas get together. Very accessible to Pokagon State Park and a lovely view of Lake James.
