Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was decent. It was convenient to the village of Captiva and close to South Seas Plantation. There were giant ants in the kitchen with empty bait traps placed around the counter. We called and the maintenance folks delivered one more bait trap. We decided to keep the kitchen lights on at night to hopefully deter more bugs. There are gaps in between doors and door frames that need to be fixed. The downstairs bathroom is tiny and was hard to have two people use all week. There was 1 bath towel provided in that bathroom. My 6 yr old grandchildren enjoyed the pool but it was very small. This was my second year with American Realty. While I love the area I wouldn’t return to this particular house.

Our feet were disgusting from walking around the pool patio so I took the initiative to clean the patio with the hose nearby. Guests shouldn't have to clean the pool area or patio, that's why you pay good money for a vacation. The house was okay. The furniture wasn't very comfortable. The couch pillows had feathers that constantly stabbed you if you sat against them. The downstairs bathroom also smelled bad no matter what. Overall this is an okay property and I would recommend but only because it's inexpensive and in a great location. Personally I'll spend more for a nicer property in the future. I'll continue going to Captiva Island as it's the greatest vacation spot in the USA.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Sea Breeze was the second of the two houses (Bay House) we rented for our family vacation over Easter week. While we enjoyed the location the house came up short in several areas. In the master bath one sink was missing a stopper and the other sink was slow to drain. The door to the master bedroom would not close completely. The assortment of dish and glassware was a hodgepodge of sizes and quantities. While we had beach chairs and umbrellas there were only four beach towels for the six of us in the house. Unfortunately on Thursday evening I had to kill a significant cockroach in the upstairs wall way. We enjoyed Captiva and the beach at the end of Laika Lane and will definitely continue to rent with American Realty.

Reviewer Comments: The house had plenty of room for everyone to be comfortable,but just way too many stairs.the housekeepers where still there when we arrived at like 5:45, they left towels and sheets in the washer and dryer,we took care of them. The house was not the cleanest we did spend the next day cleaning to get the house cleaned to our satisfaction.. wiped up trash spills on the wall by trash,finger prints and dirt off walls,smashed bugs or something on the bedroom wall, recleaned all 3 bathrooms one was never cleaned also seemed like the floors were not washed. Found sand all under couches. Had to rewash most of the dishes..rewashed all of the bedding..the pool was nice just wished it was bigger, there was no sun over the pool cause the tree branches were laying on top of the lenyi but was told that was going to get taken care of. Maintenance did come out to fix a door knob and lock and brought ant traps and said they would get the house sprayed. They were very quick to work on that situation and very nice. The day we left we had all 3 beds stripped and washed the sheets so housekeeping had a very easy breeze after we left even swept the house the morning of departure.

We had a great stay. The house was spacious and comfortable, the pool was amazing and the beach and most restaurants are a 1 minute walk. We would absolutely stay again.
