Absolutely the most amazing stay. Everything was great. Only problem I would say is pool did get crowded. And it was off season. But otherwise, lovely

We traveled to areas around the island as well and I must say we had the time of our lives!!! We all had our own little cottage and that made the experience all the more beautiful. These cottages are absolutely adorable, they all have their own little design on the inside, and all have that coastal charm. I would give them a 5-star rating, and we can't wait to come back again next year!

Clean, quaint, quiet and as private as you want it to be.

It was a very pleasant stay for the night.

The cottage was perfect, spotlessly clean and had everything we needed during our stay on Captiva. The description didn’t mention an oven/stovetop and Kureg, so I didn’t shop for that abs may have if I’d known. Perfect location, so close to everything but tucked away down a gravel road. Sunrise across the bay was amazing!!

Minor problem in that we were unable to use the safe (would not lock) and we would also recommend some form of a non-slip surface in the shower.

However, hooks are needed in the bathroom to hang towels (there is one towel bar high above the toilet), and it would be nice to have hooks in the bedroom for robe or pjs. None of the windows appeared to open, we were there when it was cool out, would have been nice to have a breeze. No dishwasher either, for what they are charging to rent by the week they certainly could afford a drawer size dishwasher. Also, regular size fridge too big for the space and not needed, should be apartment size fridge.

Very nice little cottage. The bed is too small for 2 adults!
It’s uncomfortable. The rest of the cottage is nice. The outdoors is bayfront, no access to water. You can sit outdoors. The dock is still not repaired, not accessible. Overall, if it had a king size bed it is a fair deal for the money considering the overpriced nature of all rentals in CAPTIVA.

While we used to stay at South Seas yearly, I decided to give something new a try...and I LOVED IT! Clean and private was something I needed, and I still could visit South Seas resort to be with my family! We will all stay at the Captiva Cottages next time!

Great place for an entire family to stay and hang out together. We will do that next time, because our family is 3 separate families with children, and we could house all of us at the property, and use the pool and grill.

The ghost ants were very pesky the entire 4 days! They were in everything!! Anything kitchen related had to be put in the refrigerator, cups, coffee cups, anything we touched or the ants swarmed it within minutes of setting something down. They were even on my nightstand all over my personal stuff ugh!

Beautiful property, nice unit to stay in but the ghost ants 🐜 where out of control! I couldn’t even set my drink down, absolutely nothing could be out on the counter or table. I kept everything for the kitchen in the refrigerator. Even the bedroom & bathroom had these pesky ghost ants.

Fun little place. Perfect for our anniversary.

We have stayed on Captiva at the resort several times. This is our first time renting direct. The Cottages are on the bay side but an easy walk to the village (less than a block to the beach store) and to the public beach (about 7 minute walk). We loved the Adirondack chairs on the bay. Clean, comfortable little treasure. Highly recommend.

The property was great for our needs. The kitchen was well equipped. The bed was very comfortable as was the furniture in the living room. Having access to beach chairs and a beach umbrella was great as well as the large lanai with table and chairs. We did have some palmettos in the unit when we returned one evening.

Fun little place. Perfect for our anniversary.
