We really enjoyed our stay with our entire family and little children. It provided a wonderful place with a mix of nature, adventure, start gazing, and just relaxation. Definitely recommended!

The location of the house cant be beat, the Views , wild horses and access to the beach were all A+. The house fell a little short compared to the other carova cottage houses we have experienced in the past. The internet here was terrible, we kept getting kicked off wifi, and often times the TV wouldnt work. Laura stopped by and dropped off her personal modem/hot spot for us to use. That seemed to help a little bit with the wifi issues. The bigger issue was the upstairs AC didnt work, they had 4 window units in the windows, but the temperature upstairs was always over 75 and one night it was 78, made for uncomfortable conditions. We were told the HVAC guy was coming to fix it on Wednesday, he never showed up. The refrigerator didnt have an ice maker which meant we had to run out and get bags of ice multiple times during our stay. Laura did tell us about a ice delivery service we could use. The other negative was that the area in between the pool and the house was all sand, making it impossible to keep sand out of the pool and the house. The house was Fine, the other houses we have stayed at through carova have been better. We will continue to use Carova because of Laura, she always goes above and beyond. If this is the first house you are renting in OBX you will love it, i think we were spoiled from our previous experiences.

She is an amazing and wonderful agent to work with and I would recommend her every time! Unfortunately, I wish I could say the same about the house. The mattresses downstairs are uncomfortable. The King bed downstairs felt like sleeping on a Futon. The bathroom toilets felt like they are recommended for children. Extremely low and if you have back problems not comfortable. The furniture in the living room are the same. Very uncomfortable to get up from and not a recliner anywhere. The kitchen had to be the most disappointing. The silverware was cheap. I purchased nice forks and left them for the next family. Cookie sheets lacking quality. Blender was broken. And I’ve never been in a beach home with no crab hammers or seafood utensils! (If you want to enjoy cooking at home, this is not the home for you. ). The view of the ocean and the swimming pool are the only reason I will give this home a 2 star review. Hopefully in the future, this home will be updated because it could be an amazing gem.

The house was beautiful. We did have trouble locating it as the mile marker for our turn over the dunes was absent. There were horses to enjoy watching every day but one, the upper deck was stellar for spending time sitting out, taking in the views, the walk to the beach over the dunes required energetic walking which was fun. We thoroughly enjoyed this whole experience.

Beautiful wild area. 4 x 4 beaches were a thrill! Loved the wild horses! House was very comfortable and a plus to have our own private pool and hot tub! Pure relaxation with beauty all around! So nice to be off a crowded beach!

We loved this house! Everything was clean and perfectly as described! We came in at the tail-end of a stormy 2 weeks, so the roads leading into the house were a little surprising. Once we got over the initial scare of driving over the steep sandy hills, we actually had fun with it! The only recommendation we had for the house would be to add an additional small fridge somewhere for drinks. We just ended up using a cooler since the fridge was packed with food. Other than that, it was fabulous!

We started our mornings sipping coffee on the deck while watching the breathtaking sunrise and listening to the soothing sound of the waves. Dolphins played and fished right out in front of the house throughout the day. The wild horses were absolutely amazing grazing on the grasses behind the house and roaming by us as we enjoyed the beach. The interior was nicely furnished with all of the amenities we could have wanted. Extremely comfortable, clean and again that breathtaking view! I just can’t say enough! We hope to return for many years to come.

Rented the week in October to celebrate our ten year anniversary with our family. It was a nice location, not too far down the beach, but down enough to see horses every day off the beautiful deck! We even got to see a full moon that week over the coast and enjoyed many beautiful sunrises together. Thank you for the much needed break! We had a great time!

This was one of the best and most relaxing vacations that I have ever been on. It was so beautiful. We loved seeing the horses! It was such a unique experience. Laura did such a great job communicating with us and providing the info that we needed. Highly recommend!

We had 2 other families with ours and this house has the perfect layout. The house was super clean when we arrived. The owners have been doing upgrades as the 360 tour showed the old deck. The top deck when we stayed was just replaced with composite deck boards so I imagnine the second level deck will be replaced soon. The views are nothing short of amazing and we saw the wild horses every day we were there. They were right on the dunes right next to the pool one late afternoon. We loved this place so much we plan to stay again next year. If you bring all the groceries you need for the week, you truly have no need to even leave at all.

We had a wonderful time. The kids enjoyed the pool and the beach. House was large enough so everyone had their own space.

The house is spacious and in good condition. The onsite swimming pool and hot tub are also in good condition and provide a respite from the sand and ocean while providing water activity just outside the door. Finding Sandity was a great vacation location for our family. Close to the beach, beautiful view, and we really enjoyed the pool and hot tub too. Driving 3 miles on the beach was a cool experience and caused us to enjoy the home and beach more. We look forward to vacationing in the Outer Banks again soon.

This house is amazing, and we saw horses almost daily! The location is great and offers all the amenities of home. I rented the house for the views, but the windows are so dirty ( especially to the north) we couldn’t enjoy the views to their fullest potential!

Only negative was there were a good amount of bugs(midges) and spiders on the outside and exterior of house could use some attention.
