Beautiful lakeside property with full amenities
Questa deliziosa casa sul lago dispone di tre camere da letto e sette posti letto comodamente. Vi è un ampio soggiorno aperto con vista sul lago con una stufa a gas propano nell'angolo e una zona pranzo che conduce al ponte superiore. L'ampia cucina ha un piano cottura a gas, un forno elettrico, un forno a microonde, un'isola indipendente ed è completamente carica di tutte le attrezzature da cucina di cui avrete bisogno. La camera da letto principale al primo piano sfoggia un letto king-size e un accesso diretto al ponte superiore. Dopo una lunga giornata trascorsa a praticare sport estivi, è possibile rilassarsi nella vasca idromassaggio del bagno al primo piano. Al piano superiore ci sono altre due camere da letto contenenti due letti queen-size e una singola, con un altro bagno tra di loro.
Questa casa è dotata di aria condizionata (sì, a volte anche desiderato nel Maine!), via cavo e wi-fi. Il ponte superiore appena fuori dalla zona pranzo si collega a un ponte inferiore, che è praticamente sull'acqua. We stay in many, many vrbo’s. We live less than 12 miles from Taylor Pond and wanted a place to relax with family and friends. You cannot find a nicer spot! House is spotless and has a wonderful kitchen, grill, docks and swimming. I went swimming and it was so clean. Let me tell you the best part…..the loons! If you want to get away close to Southern Maine, look no further. The hosts live next door and were very nice.

Susan and Woody’s property is thoroughly wonderful! Spotlessly clean, well-stocked with household necessities, and extremely comfortable. The two-tiered deck overlooking the lake is magical. Swimming and kayaking on the beautiful lake was amazing. The owners were a delight to communicate with and provided an informative handbook that answered any questions we may have had. This was the perfect place for our family. My husband is from Auburn and we wanted to have our own space for our family, without imposing on friends and family. Susan and Woody's house was fantastic for this. The outdoor space was beautiful and plentiful. The property was great, but they are also amazing hosts. They had a guidebook with all sorts of information, which made it super easy. I can't recommend their property enough.

This is a beautiful well-appointed house. It is right on the water and the decks are a lovely place to sit out and enjoy the pond. We enjoyed the kayaks and floats and had a great swim. The rooms are clean and spacious and everything you could need you will find in the house. The furniture is comfortable and the mini split units in each room make it easy for each person to sleep comfortably.
The only heads-up I would make to future guests is that there is a real lack of privacy with the owners living right next door. They came over multiple times while we were there, a few times in the morning to do things in the yard, and it was awkward and uncomfortable for us. If you are someone who really values privacy it is an important thing to note

My family stayed at Taywood Cottage for my son’s graduation from Bates College. I highly recommend Susan and Woody’s home - everything was perfect! The setting is magnificent, the location is super convenient to campus, the home is spotless and the beds are very comfortable. We truly could not have chosen better. I only wish we had found this spot his first year at Bates, We definitely would have stayed here each and every visit. The house is also ideal for a quiet vacation close to Lewiston/Auburn and other nearby towns. Thank you again for a memorable graduation weekend!

Comfortable house with deck overlooking small lake. Two kayaks available. The owners live next door and checked in on us. They also helped resolve a problem with getting Netflix etc. via an HDMI cable from our laptop, as the TV is cable only.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the lake. There are multiple levels of deck to sit on while taking in the sunset over the lake or the views in general. The amenities are nice (grill with propane pre-filled, two kayaks, etc). The beds, furniture, kitchen supplies, etc were great. The property is very clean inside as well.

We enjoyed 3 wonderful days at the Taywood Cottage on Taylor Pond! Very clean, very comfortable, and right on the water. Spent hours paddling the kayaks around the pond. Terrific layout for families. Great location - listen for the loons on the pond in the evenings! Owners live right next door and are excellent hosts!

Location is central and the kids are less grumpy as they can jump in the lake after a long day of campus touring. Hosts were wonderful! Trampoline park was worth every cent! House has everything you need and the kayaks were wonderful! Def coming back

Susan and Woody offer a bit of heaven at their Taywood cottage. It is clean, spacious, nicely equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and relaxing outdoor spaces. We enjoyed sitting on the multi-level decks, which allowed us plenty of room to stretch out and to enjoy the lake throughout our stay. The hosts are lovely and took the time to introduce themselves during check in and gave us a brief history about their place. The cottage is ideally located near many in-town attractions yet quietly tucked away from it all. We highly recommend this place for gatherings….we had seven family members staying at the cottage with plenty of space to relax for all. Taywood cottage is top notch! Thank you Susan & Woody for sharing it with us!

Beautiful home perfectly integrated into the lakeside landscape
This is a perfect family home with a lovely master en suite overlooking the lake and two additional bedrooms upstairs sharing a Jack & Jill bathroom. Accommodations are top notch from the towels and sheets to the kitchen pots and pans, everything you could possibly need is here. Susan and Woody were very accommodating, despite Woody having to quarantine due to Covid. We will definitely be back!

I need to give this place more than 5 stars!!!
We rented this place so we could have an early Christmas dinner celebration with family, and it was perfect for that. Besides the fact that it is on a beautiful spot on the lake, we just can't say enough about how clean and roomy and well stocked it was. The beds were so comfy and there was so much attention to detail. We felt blessed to have found it and to meet Susan and Woody. They were so nice and accommodating. We hope we will get the chance to rent this place out for family again some day. Thanks so much.

Cozy lakeside stay
We came in to visit with family over the Thanksgiving holiday and this cozy home was a great home base for us to relax and regroup each night.
Susan was very available and helpful throughout. She even let us borrow an electric roaster when she heard we’d be cooking for the holiday which made us feel even more welcomed.
We had a great stay and look forward to returning.

Outstanding in every way
If you are looking for a place on a lake where you can swim and kayak and fish and enjoy the remarkable sunsets, this is the place for you. If you’re looking for a place that is close to the Maine coast and to all kinds of parks, this is the place for you. Susan and Woody not only have a beautiful property, right on Taylor Pond, but they are outstanding hosts. The cottage is comfortable and has anything you could possibly need for your stay. And if there is something more that you need, Susan and Woody will get it for you. They make the process easy from start to finish.

Exceptional lake house with all the amenities for a small family.
Taywood Carriage is a quaint and rustic but well apportioned spot right on Taylor Pond. It is perfect for a family of five especially if you enjoy lake type activities such as boating, kayaking, swimming, etc. It is conveniently located about one hour from Freeport and Portland and about 2 1/2 hours from Acadia National Park. These are a must visit spots. The owners communicate extremely well. It was a pleasure dealing with them. Would definitely visit again if available. Highly recommended. Only comment is that there are a lot of stairs to get down to the dock and up to the second floor which can be difficult if you have a physically challenged child as we did. Otherwise this was perfect.

Susan was great to communicate with.
