The guy at reception was nice. The location is not very far from the train station.

If you're looking for hotels on booking.com, I assume you're looking for a good value for money place and can afford something better than the bare minimum. In that case, I wouldn't recommend the 8 men dormitory. The room itself was ok, but the room is not equipped with smoke detectors. I'm fine when other guests come into the room at 4 am, but not so delighted when they talk loudly and smoke at the same time. Additionally there is no air conditioning in the room, so in summer the window must be kept open. My room was next to the street and not far away from train station, so people shouting and loud music and cars won't help you sleep even without any other guests.

I have stayed at two other A&O Hostels all great,friendly staff and facilities consistently great

Small point to make there was no Guest kitchen may have missed it in the small print as with the other hostels but the sraff were most accomadating with my request to use their fridge,well done

I was double charged at this place and took almost a month to get the money back. I paid the second time to end the discussion with this very-rude guy at the reception who insisted that the payment was not made although I was showing the proof in my bank app. he even used shallow arguments like: “it’s not even much money “. of course it was not, but who wants to —donate— extra money to a hostel!? additionally, the whole place smells pretty bad. Since it’s very close to the train station, some of the guests are a bit questionable, what makes it uncomfortable for female solo travelers.
