the room was big and comfortable and the balcony/terrace was big

there was a cigarette in the ash tray on the terrace when I checked in, and cigarette ash in the corner of the bathroom for the duration of my stay… the cost of a beer in room service was extortionate… a single bottle of beer in room service cost more than a pint in the hotels own brewhouse bar downstairs. also the tv is a bit small and quiet.

Gym and spa are great! Room is spacious, nice bathroom, bed, etc

Common problem in China - can smell smoke in the room. Not allowed to open the window/door to get some fresh air in. So then we got transferred to another room, less smoky but still smoky! 2nd room was loud due to nearby constrution work.

It seems that the first floor is open to the public, so people who pay to stay at the hotel don’t have any special access to the tree, restaurant or bar that was at the property. I couldn’t even order cocktails from my room because it was so busy with people who weren’t staying at the hotel. There should be special staff dedicated to the guest who stay at the property and close off to the public during special events or holiday season after a certain hour. The amount of traffic in the first floor was overwhelming , which didn’t make a good experience for a paid guest. Next time I’ll just rent elsewhere and enjoy the first floor which was the big attraction of the place.
