Sehr herzlicher Empfang. Sehr hundefreundlich. Alles sehr sauber. Charmantes Herrenhaus mit altem Charme. Kleine Auswahl, aber sehr leckeres Frühstück. Das Restaurant war leider geschlossen. In 10-15 Minuten erreicht man zu Fuß die Innenstadt.

Der Blick aus dem Fenster ging auf ein wenig attraktives Nachbargebäude. Teilweise wurde das eigene Grundstück als Abstellfläche genutzt. Leider ist das Fahrgeräusch einer stark befahrenen Bundesstraße im Hintergrund permanent zu hören, wenn die Fenster geöffnet sind.

After informing us of check-in times (before 3pm or after 5.30pm) the owners of the Auberge received an invitation to dinner (their restaurant was evidently closed for renovations) and so our arrival for 6.30pm-7pm suddenly became a badly tolerated nuisance. On arrival the welcome was hasty and bordering on rude (with the landlady who, perhaps assuming that we were not very bright, asked her husband how to translate the word gate into Italian instead of explaining to us that the said gate was electric and the insertion of the small key served to activate and graduate the opening). Left there with the keys to the room, the house and the gate, they finally left for dinner (I guess an important invitation). In the evening we also returned from dinner and smelled a strong smell of gas (the kind you get when you turn off the cooker flame) but there was no one to ask. We sent a message and received no reply. In the morning we received a ridiculous explanation, insulting to our and their intelligence. A very unpleasant episode because the smell of gas is an alarm, not a mere nuisance. Breakfast was simply inadequate in quality and choice. Not buffet style but served at the table, we had to ask for water. If you have a restaurant, how can you not think that perhaps in addition to fruit juice (one glass) and coffee (one cup) the customer might also be thirsty for water? It is not enough to have a 'charming' establishment, there are hundreds of them in France, you must also have a solid culture of service and customer satisfaction or you will end up basking in the idea of greatness without being truly professional in your work. See you never again

Lovely old building. Felt very safe close to city. Comfortable bedroom with excellent AC which could be set to minimal noise at night. Amazing boat for evening meals just beside gate and excellent meal at hotel on last night. Lovely staff and family around. Would be delighted to stay again

The villa is lovely and the ambience is very relaxing. It is actually a short walk to the old city across the bridge.

We had to leave early (around 7 am). There was no breakfast, coffee or any food before 8:30 am. This was a bit disappointing. Even if something could be left the night before would have been appreciated.

Wonderful place with warm and hospitable staff. Everything exceeded our expectations: the room, the amenities, the amazing dinner, the setting.

Mosquitoes and wasps! We were bothered by wasps that insisted on stealing some of the food off our plates during dinner outside; otherwise it was a truly gourmet meal in a beautiful setting.

Beautiful property walking distance to old town Avignon - fresh and delicious breakfast, would definitely recommend for a visit to historical Avignon!
