By far one of our best family gatherings! 20 people, representing 4 generations! Everyone had a phenomenal time. Ample space with 2 primary gathering areas in the house, and extremely spacious and comfortable outdoor spaces. Never felt crowded. Spent time at the vineyards and apple/grape orchards which were close by, and even drove to Watkins Glen Park (45 min.) for a great hiking outing. House is absolutely gorgeous. Fully stocked kitchen allowed for big family meals. Great media setup made our karaoke night a blast.
Kristin and John were amazing hosts. The most responsive hosts I’ve ever dealt with. Will definitely plan a return trip

This property is fantastic! Our multigenerational family gathering here has become an annual tradition that is looked forward to by all. This property provides plenty of locations for folks to gather. We love hanging out on the dock, spending evenings by the fireplace and enjoying meals on the deck. The kitchen is well equipped to handle a large group - lots of large pots/pans, serving bowls, and plenty of dishes.
There is plenty of room on the beach for our two sailboats. We rent a motorboat and keep it on the side with the whips.
This property is less than 15 mins from a large Wegmans grocery store and 5 mins from a small quick market that also offers pizza and ice cream.
Hosts very responsive to any questions.

Overall, we had an amazing time while staying at this property! The location, the views, and the house itself, were all just as explained on the posting! We were able to enjoy morning coffee on the dock and the house was large enough for our group of 18 of us to enjoy meals outside together. The water was very cold but we did go in a few times as the weather was very nice! We were informed of some parking updates that were recently made in the city of Canandaigua that were not reflected in the posting, however that was a minor hiccup in the entire trip. Would highly recommend for anyone with a large group looking to be able to spend time together in a beautiful lake location!

This property was impeccable-clean, tidy, well appointed with a plethora of seating and sleeping options. The kitchen had everything needed. Right on the lake, two docks, expansive deck and patio. John and Kristin were wonderful and quick to respond to our questions. A perfect stay for us. Thank you, John and Kristin!

I don't know where to begin. The on-line description does not do service to this large, gorgeous home. The property is exceptionally well maintained, the rooms were huge, and there was more than enough room to accomodate a group twice our size.
The lake is just beautiful, and the dock was a great place to sit and relax. We went in April, but I imagine the lake to be even better in the warmer months. The firepit was an added bonus that my family really enjoyed.
There were so many unexpected "extras" throughout the house. For example, there was a huge pair of binoculars with it's own tripod. There were board games and puzzles for any age group, and a great selection of books for a vacation read. The kitchen came supplied with every cooking gadget you could think of, multiple coffee makers, and enough dishes and silverware for a small army.
We would definitely come again!

This house is set up perfect for large adult groups. Even if it's rainy or windy, you still have the fireplace outside under the main deck. I love this property

Every year we rent a spot in Canandaigua Lake. The group is 3 families, kids age range from 6 to18. This year we had our best trip. The house had everything we needed This is a must if you are visiting Canandaigua Lake. 6 bedrooms one bedroom has 5 bunk beds. Wide open first level floor and a hangout basement with a bar.

Four couples headed off on an adventure to the Finger Lakes region -- wondering what we would discover. After a long day hiking, wine tasting, etc. -- we returned to our luxurious rental located on the bucolic shores of Canandaigua Lake. Everything was perfect - location, views, condition-of-property, etc. I would highly recommend this house for family/friend vacations.

Beautiful house right on the lake! We choose the east side if the lake so we could watch the sunsets and the view did not disappoint! House had plenty of room and included basically everything you would need. Kitchen was well stocked, towels were thick/heavy, water pressure was great in showers, good amount of parking, and host was easy to get ahold of. If you plan to bring a boat recommend you coordinate that with the owner ahead of time as some of the items listed were for owner use only. We had a great stay and would definitely come back!!

We had a wonderful time on Canandaigua Lake with 3 generations of family. The name Canandaigua in the Seneca language means "the chosen place" and that is how this worked for us. The water trampoline was fun for all 3 generations.

This property is beautiful with a fully supplied kitchen, and plenty of towels for showering and swimming. We are a large group of 21 who enjoy our annual vacation week together. Sharing meals is important to us, this property permitted us to prepare, cook and eat our dinners together. The home is well appointed and well cared for. When we encountered a glitch, the owner made sure that it was fixed asap. The trampoline was a major hit with both adults and kids. Having morning coffee on the deck was a bonus along with the great sunsets. We look forward to returning to this property.

All three generations of our clan enjoyed the stay immensely. We are looking forward to going back next year.
Incidentally, both washers and dryers were full of towels and clothes when we arrived. We cleaned and used the towels and left the clothes to whomever they belong.

Beautiful house right on the lake. However, the owner had listed the property as a 5 bathroom, when it only has 3 bathrooms in the house. The outdoor shower has no walls, so it is not useable as a real shower. One of the window screens came out while we were there, probably because of previous damage we were not aware of, and the owner charged us an additional $600 damage fee. The unique television set up were difficult to operate without instructions on what to do. The town is very quaint, and we will definitely return to this area, but will not be renting from John again.

Overall we had a wonderful time. The home was everything that was advertised. Spacious rooms, sitting areas everywhere, both inside and on the decks, well-stocked kitchen, sunsets, kayaking and fishing are many of the features that made this home so appealing to our family. We had a lovely time and will always remember the house on the lake.

Kristin and John were wonderful to work with, so helpful and considerate as we planned our weekend. The property inside and out was perfect for our group, even with the chilly May water temperatures there was plenty to do! Thank you for a nice relaxing weekend with friends!

Other than the house not being as clean as I would have liked, it’s a wonderful property for a multi-generational vacation. Access to the lake is great and there is a lot of outside space to sit around and enjoy the views. This is the second year we stayed at this property and we all had a fabulous time.

lived up to expectations
This had been planned in late 2019--and then COVID hit--John thankfully gracefully moved our reservation to 2021 and then to 2022 when we felt it was finally reasonably safe to gather. There were no disappointments--kitchen remarkably well equipped, plenty of towels, comfortable beds , great elevator for those finding stairs difficult, very clean and tidy, surrounded by beautiful scenery------what more could we have wished for?????? A remarkable house in a very special location!!

Fantastic Property!
I cannot speak highly enough regarding this property and the owner. The home was exactly as listed and absolutely beautiful! The house fit our large group perfectly, was extremely clean, the view was amazing, and the location was perfect. The house is right on the lake and made for an awesome atmosphere. It is close to many wineries and breweries. The owner of the home was wonderful to work with, extremely responsive to all questions, and was fantastic about providing recommendations in the area. We are already wanting to plan our next stay with our whole family!

The FLX Place To Stay, Hands Down
This property is amazing and beautiful! Aside from the stunning view and being waterfront, the outdoor space is so functional to meet just about any need and wish imaginable for a lake house. We could not take full advantage of the outdoor space because the fall weekend we visited was a bit chilly and rainy. I would love to come back for a full week in the summer for a family vacation with the kiddos and extended family. Though the home is big, the inside is still cozy and intimate if you want it to be . . . but allows for space as needed. The house is stocked well, equipped for entertainment, and full of amenities. It is absolutely gorgeous, and though one might be nervous because of the value of the property and its contents, the home is still very comfortable and the environment feels very livable. The owners were very responsive when we had a need or question. I recommend this property 100% . . . it exceeded our expectations!

Terrific Upstate NY Getaway on the Lake
Beautiful home overlooking the lake. Open layout conducive to nice family gatherings and views. We enjoyed the home for a special family birthday celebration in late September/early October timeframe and so most stores and restaurants in town were open. A great time to visit, and the sunsets seen off the back porch were picture worthy all week long. The home is wonderful!

Perfect girls' weekend
Expectations were exceeded by reality! The house was even better than pictured as it was stocked w literally everything we could ever need. From dishes, glasses, and serving ware in the kitchen to extra sheets and towels, games, fans in the bedrooms, etc. I especially loved all the outdoor space and seating. My guests were so impressed. Would 10/10 recommend and will absolutely stay again.

3 Day Client & Friends Fishing Trip
The Rushville property was amazing both inside and out. It's a gorgeous high end lakefront property. The spacious 2nd floor deck overlooks the lake and there is a very nice outdoor gas firepit on the first floor patio that offers a relaxing setting. The house was clean, spacious and decorated with great taste. The only downside of the short trip was we didn't catch many fish although I'm sure it has something to do with the fisherman.

The house is very nice, but it’s the access to the lake that makes this house really special. With the trampoline, kayaks and paddle boards, there was non-stop activity for the adults and kids. The lake is fabulous!

Beautiful Lake House
This was an amazing place to stay for a family getaway with young children. There was more than enough room for the group and the house had an incredible view of the lake (especially the sunset!). Everything was very clean and well maintained. The owner was also very responsive to any questions we had. We hope to be able to return in the future!
