Wunderschönes Hotel mit großen königlichen Zimmer und sehr bequemen Bett. Nettes Personal und wunderbares Frühstück

Es gibt nichts auszusetzen

Ich hatte ein wundervolles großes Zimmer, sehr ruhig, sauber und schön eingerichtet. Das Bad war sehr groß und gut beheizt und es war alles vorhanden, von Badeschuhen/Bademantel über Dusch und Pflegeprodukte bis hin zur Nagelfeile.

Schade, da hatte ich wirklich mehr erwartet. Das Personal (3 Mitarbeiter) beim Nachmittagskaffee hat mich 10 Minuten lang vollkommen ignoriert, kein "Moment bitte, es kommt gleich jemand" oder sonst eine Information. Ich bin dann unverichteter Dinge wieder gegangen, dabei hatte ich mich nach der langen Fahrt so auf Kaffee und Kuchen gefreut. Auch beim Frühstück wurden zB verlassene Tische nicht abgeräumt und neu eingedeckt (erst auf Rückfrage). Das Frühstücks Büfett war leider nix dolles, da hätte ich für die Lokalität mehr erwartet. Der angebotene Bacon war steinhart und ebenso kalt wie die vorbereiteten Rühreier. Die Brotscheiben war angetrocken - da vorgescnitten. Die Milch für meinen Kaffee mußte ich mir vom Nachbartisch holen. Ebenso den Pfeffer, der Streuer an meinem Tisch hatte untern nicht mal ein Verschluss und somit war der Streuer natürlich leer. Die Auswahl an Käse und Wurst war eher als spärlich zu bezeichnen und recht lieblos dargeboten. Honig gab es nur abgepackt und es gab auch nur 2 Sorten Marmelade im Angebot, wovon eine so zäh war das man sie kaum vom Löffel bekommen hat. Das die beiden Glocken über Wurst und Käse defekt waren, sollte beim Vorbereiten oder spätestens beim Reinigen eigentlich auffallen und ausgetauscht werden. Alles in allem würde ich zum Thema Frückstück sagen: das kenne ich von Hotels mit weniger Sternen sowohl vom Angebot/der Frische der Produkte als auch beim Service wirklich besser. Da ist noch reichlich Luft nach oben. Ein wenig mehr Herz und Liebe zum Detail würde sicher helfen. Und ja, natürlich wird man satt, aber wenn ich schon im Schlosshotel übernachten, dann möchte ich doch auch gerne fürstlich frühstücken.

Lovely large room. Plenty of parking.

No restaurant, or at least it was closed for our visit, which was not communicated to us beforehand.

it has style, great staff, history combined with modern amenities.

We booked this hotel for the final night of our holiday. The rooms were lovely, and the building was beautifully renovated.

On checking in, we asked to book a table at the restaurant, the receptionist was cool and absent and gave us no additional information. When we went down for a drink before dinner, the two staff in the bar were being told off by the receptionist in a very loud voice and in front of all guests. There was no drinks list, and the staff had no idea what wines were available. We ordered a couple of glasses of reasonable white wine. No nibbles were provided. We were then told that dinner was in the neighbouring Hotel Sonne, which is a 2 or 3 star hotel owned by the same group as the Schloss. The meal was a major disappointment. Two of the six meat dishes on the menu were not available. My Wiener Schnitzel was burnt black on one side. The dining room was modern but very sterile, fine for fast food, but not for fine dining. We asked for a carafe of red wine and were presented with a single glass filled to the brim. We explained we wanted two glasses and a carafe. They didn't have a carafe and split the full glass into two. The wine was awful - tastelless and flat. So much for a fine dinner to end our holiday. We returned to the hotel at 2000h to find it locked up, the bar was locked up and no staff around. It must be emphasised that the Schloss Neutrauchberg DOES NOT have a restaurant. It serves breakfast (which was good) and afternoon teas, but not a full lunch or dinner. It is not a 4 star establishment, despite having very comfortable and spacious rooms. Its staff are very willing but poorly trained, despite the brochure the Schloss has produced extolling their training programmes for staff. We certainly will not be revisiting and don't recommend it to anyone.
