The property was clean and nicely decorated with all of the amenities you could need. Very central, everything you could need in Fowey was in easy reach and the staff were very helpful. Breakfast was delicious! Quality of the ingredients was clear and the staff were happy to make changes to set meals to suit our preferences. Plenty of food options included.

The room was supposedly ‘superior’ but I would have liked to see another room to see what the extra cost warranted. We had no beautiful view as our room overlooked the courtyard, also meaning to avoid properties over the way seeing straight in, we had to keep the blind down completely. a blind that could obscure the window without blocking all light to the room could be worth considering. I can only assume that the view would be the difference in rooms so it’s a shame we didn’t get it. The accommodation is quite noisy between rooms. Hallways could benefit from carpet as hearing the ‘neighbours’ or staff banging about outside our door at 7AM was very loud. We stayed after attending a wedding so my husband was wearing suit shoes and no matter how hard he tried to be quiet when we got back, he was very conscious of the noise he was causing. Doors could do with a lock. My husband had to lock me in the room as I wanted a shower while he nipped back to the car. As the key is needed to lock the door but he needed to take it with him, he had no choice but to either leave the door open to anyone that wanted to enter (I didn’t like this idea while I was in the shower) or to lock the door and take the key, which concerned us in case of fire.

Air conditioning in the room was a god send. Not many hotels in the UK have this facility. Location was superb. In the centre with an amazing view of the river Fowey. The staff were very friendly.

The evening meal we had on our 1st night was disappointing. My husband had the sausage casserole which was tasteless and the gravy/juice was like water. Not recommended.

Absolutely beautiful location, right on the harbour. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff couldn't do enough to help and the food was quick and reasonably priced.

I would definitely pay a little extra for a room with a sea view next time! Parking is about 10 minutes walk away, but there's a closer short stay one even closer to unload luggage.

Room was in what looked like a recently built extension to the old pub. The room was clean, airy and comfortable. The property had a lovely view that overlooked the harbour and boats from the bar/restaurant downstairs. The breakfast was good and the evening meal was decent pub food and sensibly priced. Staff were friendly and efficient. The little town was nice to walk around with some nice shops. Quite a few places to eat but suggest you book in advance.

A little noisy - obviously expected from the bar downstairs but also the walls were rather thin and could hear noise from neighbours. Note that road signs imply you can't drive down to the hotel, you can but it is very tight and there are a lot of pedestrians. There are a couple of car parks but the big one is a long way from the inn, though there is a loading zone to drop bags.

There was a good choice of breakfast, nothing was too much trouble. The staff were efficient and friendly and made us very welcome 😁 othing

Very comfortable place for a family of 4 and a great location with very nice view out to the sea. The breakfast was very generous and perfect.

The setting, we had a lovely room overlooking the river. Staff were always pleasant, friendly and helpful. The location meant that there are many quirky shops in the immediate vicinity.

The location was beautiful, but this also generated a handicap, the nearest car park with any availability was half a mile away.
