This place was perfect for a little getaway to unplug. It's a cute setup and had everything we needed to make us feel at home. It's a great location attached to an antique shop, next to a wonderful coffee shop, and 2 doors down from an awesome pub, Mink River Basin. You won't be disappointed by the pub's food, bourbon and beer selections and arcade room! Darla, the Host was friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back again.

Very nice little cottage– – we enjoyed our stay. Our host was wonderful and met us at the door, enjoyed hiking, and exploring the area, as well as the many fabulous restaurants and shops.

Darla was a superb host! I was looking forward to a quiet, safe getaway and the Forget Me Not cottage delivered! Thank you, Darla, for this charming place. I would highly recommend staying in this cozy, intimate cottage and definitely give it 5 stars!

We loved our stay at the Forget Me Not Cottage! The property was clean, well kept and beautifully decorated. it's a great location with the Ellison Bay village within walking distance, and Newport State Park and Sister Bay just a short drive away. We would stay here again!

I took a class at The Clearing as a commuter student. Darla's rental is extremely convenient for this purpose. The location is easily bikeable to class and walkable to coffee shops (vital) and restaurants and public beach accesses for those all important sunsets. I have a very few suggestions: window coverings in the bedroom would be appreciated and internet in the bedroom would be useful. The internet does not work in this area. However, it works well in the main room. Easy entry for people with mobility issues-- only one step up and very convenient parking. Positives far exceed negatives.

It was love at first site! We loved the cozy, lovingly appointed, well equipped "Forget Me Not" Cottage in the quiet, laid back community of Ellison Bay just 5 miles, I think, from Sister Bay. We had a wonderful night sleep every night on a really good mattress and with very cool nights with warm comforter or a lighter quilt according to your preferences. The cottage stayed a very cool comfortable temperature the entire 5 nights of our stay. The bathroom met all our needs with plenty of hooks, which I appreciate, and nice hot water in the shower. The spacious, well thought out and equipped kitchen with island made the cook in our family pleased and produced very nice meals! We spent the cozy evenings in the living room reading in each of the recliner and the love seat. We love that there are ceiling fans in both the living area and the bedroom. In this area we also appreciated and read the community and travel pamphlets and learned a good deal from them. And, we really, really enjoyed the wonderful, spacious, furnished front porch! We started each early morning there with hot coffee and tea ( love the kettle) and each early evening there with cold refreshing beverages. Finally, we come to to our exceptionally kind and gracious host, Darla Yanny!! She was very helpful with tourist tips and directions and in supplying any needs we had. We loved here immediately! And we loved visiting, browsing and shopping in her very interesting antiques store!! Highly recommended!!

Charming cottage in the heart of Ellison Bay! Quiet and just what we were looking for to celebrate our anniversary away from home. Walking distance to coffee shops and a restaurant and driving distance to all the Door County favorites! Darla is a wonderful hostess and had so many recommendations of places to see and things to do during our stay. Highly recommend!

The cabin was clean and comfortable! It was in the perfect location for exploring, hiking, and a day trip to Washington Island. Darla was friendly and easy to work with, she's great!

Very sweet cottage and Darla was helpful. The only thing is the road noise could be a bit loud when windows were open. With no air conditioning, that was a must for our stay. Darla furnished several fans as well.

A great place to go unwind and unplug. A nice cottage in Door County that is in an area that is still somewhat quiet. The owner is very pleasant and helpful, and the property is very nice. We would go back again.

Apartment was comfortable, clean and quiet. We liked being north of the “action” but minutes from Newport State Park and easy walking distance to coffee, restaurants, community beach and general store. Communication with owner was excellent. We had a wonderful time and hope to return soon!

We absolutely love Darla’s rental and Darla herself! This rental is so clean, cozy, and in such a great location. You can walk to the general store or coffee shop as well as a couple of restaurants. A beautiful area - we will 100% be back for a third stay.

Had a wonderful vacation at the Forget Me Not cottage! Peaceful and easy to find. Darla checked in to be sure we had everything we needed. No neighbors to worry about when we listened to music. Just the right size for the two of us!

My daughter and I stayed at this property for 3 nights. Yes, it is listed as a romantic getaway, which it could be, but for my daughter and myself we made this work as she slept on the sofa. It was very welcoming, comfortable and clean. We both agreed we would stay here again.

Nice location and very quiet. Close enough to enjoy Newport and Peninsula State Parks, Sister Bay, and even Gills Rock and Northport. The unit is well appointed and very comfortable.
