fantastic location, beautiful grounds and view. the staff were all lovely and helpful. first time with our new puppy and they were super accommodating, our pup even got a treat. really good breakfast.

we felt our room needed a lot of TLC I understand it was just for 1 night and not gives you a good feel for return the room had just 1 office type lamp 1 side of bed nothing other side only alternative was to have all 4 wall lights on bathroom door did not shut had to negotiate scary plug to get TV working and the pipe work corrosive in places

the view from the bedroom window was lovely, viewing Robin Hoods Bay, both the bay & the town of Robin Hoods Bay. The food was very good, evening meal & breakfast, the staff were exceptionally good. A great location, very isolated but that was good for us!

Amazing views from dining room windows. Excellent breakfast and dinner. Friendly helpful staff. Large comfortable room.

What wasn't to like..??! We were given a sea-view room (despite not having paid the extra for one!) on the top floor and the view across the golf course and bay was fantastic. Breakfast was fantastic, with loads of choice. The location was perfect for us, with walks straight from the door, as well as other spots to visit within easy reach.

The only thing that could have been better - and that's only for want of thinking of something - is that the bar menu had limited food options. Given that they were side by side, possibly one or two of the restaurant menu choices could also have been available in the bar..?

the property is a Victorian hotel situated on the cliffs and the views are amazing.

if I had a criticism it would be regarding the area designated for customers who have dogs with them. there were a lot of people with dogs staying at the hotel and the areas weren’t really big enough to accommodate the customers. Also the bar menu is very restrictive as opposed to the restaurant menu.

TV in the bedroom was tiny and pretty poor for the overall standard of the hotel

I stayed last year and had a Irish Coffee . Did the same tis year and came to the conclusion that you cannot make one

This was a lovely place to stop for a night while walking along the coast. The whole place had a lovely warm, welcoming feel about it, which was, in large part, due to the staff. My room was spotless and very comfortable, and was a lovely spot of luxury.

Excellent hotel in a beautiful setting. Friendly staff lovely food and facilities like the swimming pool where you get your own 45 minute session. My grandchildren came to swim play tennis and croquet.

Where do you even start, Such a waste of money! On arrival we weren't told on check in we had to book a time slot for the facilities. We over heard someone else. When we asked to book to use the swimming pool we were told it was fully booked for the duration of our stay. There was a wedding taking place which you could hear every word of the live band in our room, followed by the DJ & feel it through the floor. This was sold as a dog friendly hotel!!! 21:30 at night fireworks where then let off, what felt like outside the front of our room. Which left our dog petrified & shaking till they stopped. Not once on check in or whilst sat in the bar area opposite reception, did any member of staff let us know they were going to take place. For the money paid the place was so tired & dated, wallpaper peeling off the walls in numerous locations. Old carpets, worn furniture, broken blind in our room, It was so dusty it was unpleasant. Telling the receptionist of our concerns all we got was a " I do apologise whilst holding the card machine in hand for full payment" I wouldn't recommend staying here at all, I thought by paying a little extra it would be a lovely stay but it wasn't, plenty of nicer places for a better price :(

Fantastic food and staff so courteous

Room did not meet our expectations. View from our window was of metal fire escape stairs right at the front that we did not expect. Curtains hanging down from rail. No housekeeping during our stay.

I could take my dog and staff very friendly and accommodating. I need gluten free food, I asked at breakfast if sausages were gluten free, they weren’t but they cooked me some gluten free sausages.

we requested a bay view room, which had large windows and a view of robinhood bay, very good

bathroom needs updating, but room and hotel was good value

Location was perfect For breakfast could offers bit more variety for vegan and gluten free allergy

The beds not comfortable at all could do with replacing them. Rooms need a bit of colour and good decor

Breakfast was excellent. Great views from the dining area. Dramatic setting and grounds.

The room needed a clean around skirting boards. There was a constant loud hum from heating pipes that was particularly noticeable at night.
