Big, convenient apartment.

It was quite cold inside and there was no option to adjust temperature, host did not reply on my question about it. It was hard to dry wet clothes and shoes. Some kitchen equipment was quite worn out and should be replaced. Bathroom was no super clean.

The apartment we booked was huge, it had everything we needed and we enjoyed our stay a lot!

It was a little cold for us and the heat couldn’t be regulated.

Apartment has all amenities, really comfortable. Owner and her husband are super friendly and helpful, they made our stay much more pleasant.

Communication with the host prior to arrival was uncomplicated. There was a storm warning during our stay and the host was very friendly and came round to check that we were up-to-date with the latest travel warnings. Parking was available in front of the building.

We had some wonderful stays during our trip around Iceland and this accommodation didn't live up to the standard or value-for-money we experienced elsewhere. The studio could do with some rennovation and an accumulation of small things impacted the overall feeling of our stay e.g. there was mould on the windows and in the bathroom on the ceiling and one of our towels had an unappetizing brown stain. Several of the cooking utensils and items of cutlery hadn't been cleaned properly before being put back in the drawers which meant we had to wash several items before we could cook ourselves. There were also dried tomato seeds on one of the cupboard doors which gave the impression that the apartment hadn't been properly cleaned or looked over between the last guests' departure and our arrival. Based on the description, we were also expecting the basics such as tea, coffee & sugar. However, there was no sugar and barely enough coffee for one pot on our first morning. The hairdryer was melted, split down one side and made a strange rattling sound so we decided against using it as it didn't seem safe. Some instructions for the hob would have been useful as there were no icons on the buttons.

The apartment was excellently situated, and in a great location for exploring south west Iceland. The apartment was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Good restaurants were also within walking distance. The hosts were also extremely accommodating and easy to deal with.

Guðlaug she was very nice and brought her own homemade bread , was very tasty, thank you Guðlaug. The apartment was very spacious and had a balcony with a beautiful view. The kitchen is fully equipped, the washing machine and the dishwasher were silent, this means peace of mind by not disturbing the neighbours. Definitely recommend.
