very inconvenient to move our luggage to and from the room. Do not worth the money to stay at this hotel. Surprised with the high rating of 9.6. My experience is far below.

Beautiful historic house, VERY well maintained, great location, breathtaking views, clean, excellent breakfast, very friendly staff. stunning gardens and Private beach.

There is no sidewalk for you to walk on from the property to the city. you have to walk on the highway. After a few glasses of wine, it becomes very dangerous…

Villa Marina is an awesome location on Lake Como. Everything was amazing. But what made this location exceed our expectations was the hotel managers, Marco and Tonya. A married couple who work 7 days a week, 16 hours a day to see to it that their guests are happy. Seriously. Not a day off in 2 plus years. They checked us in, carried our bags, drove us to town and did a load of laundry for us. They recommended the hotel's restaurant and made a reservation for us. When we arrived at 7pm, Marco and Tonya were our servers. I have never met anyone who worked harder than these two. Marco was super. He was always smiling and laughing. He had great stories. Tonya was very funny and was equally entertaining. After checking out, we couldn't get a taxi back to the train station, so Marco drove us there. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. But if Marco and Tonya are not there, we will find out where they are and stay there instead.

Fabulous second floor room with a view over the lake from 2 aspects. Very comfortable beds and very private. Marco and Tanya who manage the hotel were fabulous and a mine of 'lake Como' information. their attention to their guests was second to none, and always cheerful and happy to please. We were only at the hotel for 2 short days, but based on their advice, we changed our schedule and visited different places. We couldn't have been happier with our revised plans. Did I mention the breakfast? By far the best we've ever had it Italy!

Villa Marina is a beautiful property in Bellano. Marco, the site manager, was so helpful in helping us arrange taxis at odd times of the day and just went above and beyond for our stay.

To be honest, the upstairs room we had felt cramped. the bed felt small, and the air conditioning seemed like it wasn’t working correctly when we were there.

We loved our stay at Villa Marina. Marco and Tanya are wonderful hosts and made our time at Lake Como very memorable, they could not do enough for us and made us feel like VIP's. The accommodation was lovely and our room was exactly as advertised (I forgot to take photos of the inside), and we had a lovely view of the lake. The breakfast was good and we enjoyed our dinner at the restaurant that is attached to the sister hotel just down the road. The hotel also offers a very reasonable laundry service. Swimming in the lake was refreshing but I would recommend Water Shoes. At Marco's suggestion we hired a kayak for a leisurely paddle and he helped us plan our 2 days with suggestions of places to visit.

The hosts Marco and Tanya are the very best at providing top notch service and attention! Marco tended to our every need. The daily breakfast prepared by Tanya is an exceptional treat. They both also serve at The Dolce Vita restaurant nearby and do it wonderfully. They never stop! The location and room and lake views are stunning. Lake access is easy. The room and especially the bed was very comfortable.

Everything! Beautiful and comfortable rooms, excellent breakfast, Marco couldn’t do enough for us and we had an amazing time here thanks to him. Highly recommended for anyone looking for somewhere to stay on Lake Como.

Villa Marina is a beautiful building located by the lake with an exceptional view which you can enjoy whilst eating the lovely breakfast provided. Marco was a wonderful host, looking after us well and was more than happy to provide any information we needed. The hot tub was a great addition to the quiet and relaxing atmosphere.

Not an issue for us but the stairs may not suit everyone.

The hosts both Marco and Tanya were the best hosts we have ever experienced and definitely will be back and recommending friends going to Lake Como

I loved staff’s hospitality, jacuzzi, tasty and various breakfast choices, lake view from room(even from the restroom) and private beach. I had a great time in Villa Marina, staff Marco was very attentive with positive attitude. In addition to this incomparably stunning hotel, his hospitality made my stay more memorable. Thank you so much! I want to recommend Villa Marina to all of my friends, and definitely I’ll come back here for longer stay.

Everything at Villa Marina was above and beyond our expectations. Most importantly, Marco and Tanya were amazing hosts and made sure every aspect of our stay was perfect. The villa is located right on the water providing pure relaxation during breakfast over looking the lake. We are already planning our next trip back

There is not one thing negative to say about our stay. Breakfast, staff, room, and view were all amazing the Food in Belano was some of the best we had.

Our stay was phenomenal. Breakfast was delicious, the property was stunning, and Marco and his hospitality were the best part. I was blown away by the way that our every need was my and exceeded. The access to the beach was wonderful and the bedrooms are lovely and well-stacked with amenities. Marco arranged our dinner reservations, accommodated a last minute extra guest, and coordinated a taxi for us to take to the train station. He is an exceptionally hospitably host. I highly recommend staying here!

Nothing that we didn't like.

Everything- location was beautiful, peaceful and yet handy to Bellano and Varenna where you could catch a ferry to Bellagio and Villa Balbianello. Marco and his lovely wife Tanya were the best hosts - friendly, helpful with suggestions for itinerary and produced the best breakfasts. If you’re going to Lake Como- just book here, you won’t be disappointed
