We loved how big and central the room was in Kinosaki. The host would help us with our schedule for the evening, when we can visit the private onsen and when to best have dinner. Everything was perfect. If we had the money, we would stay another night.

Even though we couldn't get a reservation for the hotel's dinner or breakfast, the staff kindly gave advice for other nearby options.
All of the staff were super kind and bilingual.
Also the use of the umbrellas, geta and yukata, bags for our bath stuff and the pass for the baths helped to offset the price of the room.
It said it was a double bed, but it was just two single beds put together. It would be nice if the mattresses didn't slide apart because when sleeping with my wife, one of us was always falling in the middle between the two beds.

Before commenting first I must apologize for the guest on the night of January 30th. Because my middle school daughter, who is in the rebellious stage, had a quarrel with her mother about a trivial matter at nearly nine o'clock that night, and her voice was loud and affected other guests. I am very sorry. I have stayed in no less than thirty hotels and hotels in Japan, and I think this hotel demonstrates the perfect balance of the three. The first balance is to combine Japanese tradition and modernity. While taking into account modern conveniences, it also shows the meticulousness of traditional Japanese culture. Exquisite Japanese antique decorations can be seen everywhere, giving people the illusion of being in Japan while integrating modern The amenities are well placed. The second one is the perfect balance between privacy and openness. There are seven public baths with different characteristics. However, for foreigners who are not used to bathing in public baths, the hotel also provides private reservation bathing venues, which can be used by foreigners who do not like to go to public baths. For us, we can also enjoy the wonderful experience of local hot springs. The third beautiful balance is the transportation experience. It is very close to the station and takes less than three minutes to walk, which is very convenient for foreigners. There are buses nearby that can go to unique scenic spots, and you can go to various nearby scenic spots in a short time. Finally, this hotel is more affordable than local hot spring hotels. I think it is a great value for money. The above is my true feeling. It is really great. If you want to experience a great value for money trip, I recommend you to stay in this hotel.

The staff is very nice. The private onsen is wonderful. The beds are comfortable and the room is super good.
The automatic tap in the room has a bit problem and could not wash face smoothly.

The staff was super nice and attentive. This is a very traditional ryokan which is very near the Kinosakionsen train station.
The place does not have an elevator and the stairs are steep. The staff helped us with our luggage.

The staff were fantastic, the small double room as it's advertised wasn't small at all and the location was perfect to get to the train station and to get around the town

It’s a stunning traditional style Ryokan with tatami floors in the bedrooms. Having the option to have a bed or a futon is nice, although I think a futon is actually comfier! Only 2 minutes from the train station and a stones throw from great coffee shops, restaurants and supermarkets. They allow you to book the private onsen for just under an hour, which allows mixed sex couples to enjoy it together, unlike the public onsens.

Excellent location. Facilities are old and i feel the place is a bit stuffy. But with aircon, it fix the problem. Room and hallways smell woody. Breakfast is good.
The smell of this place. Even the yakuta cloths i felt was not thoroughly washed / cleaned. Hence i only wore it once.

We had 2 room rooms, one for my wife and myself and one for my daughter. Both rooms were exceptional. Best place we stayed in our 2 weeks in Japan. The whole experience was just wonderful. We arrived an hour late and the staff were very accommodating.

great location- literally 2 minutes away from the station
gigantic ryokan room
staff were kind, however there is a language barrier. nothing that can’t be overcome by a little google translate though!
super clean sheets and quiet rooms.
do note that there is no shower in the bedroom, just a toilet bowl and sink. (you are meant to use the public baths)
overall very enjoyable stay :)
the clogs are pretty uncomfortable but I think they are already better than what I saw other people wearing. if you are sensitive about foot pain, please bring your own slippers!
towel rental costs a small fee also, but the small towel worked just fine.

Staff was exceptional. Friendly, worked through language with Google Translate. The meals were above and beyond expectation: well prepared, fresh, lots of new foods, lots of new experiences. The rooms were large and comfortable. Private Onsen. Selfie studio and more. Overall great experience.
Bring your own slippers if you have large feet. I was prepared. (This goes for every Ryokan in Japan).

There was no breakfast included or offered. I had a breakfast at a cafe close by.
The opportunity to be part of the hotel's other offers (for money)

Traditional inn (ryokan) with fabulous dinner and breakfast that were works of art, which also included tickets to all the local onsens. Very hospitable and helpful staff. Large room and decently sized bed. Lovely atmosphere with their own private hot springs bath that you can book.

the kind staff, comfortable room, and access to a private onsen make this inn a winner. I enjoyed being able to select a yakata, and enjoy the on-site onsen. The staff is also skilled at communication with those lacking Japanese language skills so I was able to understand all I needed in order to enjoy my stay.
I did not like the automatic sink. It was very difficult to get a drink of water.

Absolutely loved this ryokan! Perfect for a stay in this fantastic little onsen town. The guesthouse is 3 mins from the station and close to all the onsen baths. The staff were super friendly and helped us pick out yukatas to wear to the onsen. The room was very comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated. The whole place is just a delight. Cannot recommend it enough.
It was perfect!

Wonderful location, easy walking to all of the onsen in town and 2 mins walk to the station which was so convenient. Staff were kind and helpful. The dinner and breakfast were amazing, delicious local produce and presented beautifully. Beds were comfortable and the stay was great value considering the quality of the meals. The provided yukata were lovely and made for such a great experience. Would definitely stay again!

Warm greeting by kind hosts. They were very patient with us and explained some of the details of staying in an Onsen town.
This is a genuine Japanese guesthouse just one minute from the train station. Lots of wood floors and details and we were able to book the hotel onsen privately. It was wonderful after a long day of travel. Japanese breakfast was substantial.
No complaints. We had a lovely stay. :-)
