Staff were kind and efficient. They were very accommodating and the hotel is in a fair location for the price and was quiet.
My room had no window and wasn't informed which for me was hard as I can feel clostrophobic. The internet didn't work in the room and can be weak in the hotel as well.

Das Hotel liegt sehr günstig zum Flughafen. Für 10 MR bekommt man einen Transfer. Das Personal ist freundlich und zugewandt. Die Zimmer sind gut, aber nicht mehr ganz modern. Das macht aber nichts-ich habe sehr gut geschlafen. In der 5.Etage hört man auch nicht mehr so viel vom Strassenlärm. Das Frühstück war als Buffet mehr als ausreichend. Es gab eine sehr große Auswahl, für jeden etwas dabei. Im Hotel kann man Ausflüge buchen. Ich wollte die vorgelagerten Inseln besuchen. Ich empfehle jedoch, zum Hafen zu laufen (rd. 2 km) und direkt am Ticketschalter Fährkarten zu buchen. Einen Guide braucht man m.E. nicht und das Grillmittagessen ist in der knalligen Sonne eh nicht meins. Das Hotel ist empfehlenswert.
Die Klimaanlage wird zentral gesteuert und ist nicht auszuschalten. Es gibt jedoch einen Trick: man stellt auf 30 Grad. Das habe ich jedoch erst an der Rezeption erfahren, nach ein paar frostigen Stunden.

Friendly staff who were welcoming and provided guidance when needed. Decent breakfast, enough to eat. Comfortable bed and powerful shower. Some local amenities e.g. 7/11 1min down the road.
WiFi was quite patchy (needed to be reset a few times). Some of the fixtures and fittings in the room were a little old (e.g. the plug socket was wobbly in the room, the bedside table seemed like it was from the 1980s). This is my fault for booking the location, but it is a little bit far from the main shopping/bar/restaurant areas of the city.

Good size room. and bathroom. Efficient reception and friendly housekeeping staff. Broad range and plentiful breakfast buffet offering. When we booked our room we thought we had struck the best deal ever on Booking.com for a stay at a Shangri-la Resort chain but it wasn't for the resort. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Some restaurants around the hotel but you might need to walk a bit further for the night food market or other restaurant selections.
Not the hotel's responsibility but we had a city water main repair during an afternoon of our stay. I trust this does not happen often

It was abit upset as 2 days before that we stayed at Holiday Inn, they allowed us to bring food to the room and also allowed us to pack food. They even provided food containers to pack. Shangri-la need to consider, atleast to bring food to the room as some people like me, unable to eat very early in the morning, right after we wake up. Otherwise the rest are all good at the hotel.

At that cheap price, I thought it is a "fake Shangri-La" But i was confirmed, its one of the hotels of the Shangri-La 5 star chain but this one is only 3-star. Well, lobby was presentable and room spacious and cozy. Breakfast buffet had also many choices.
Main reason why my overall rating is only "6" is the aircon. Its a old centralized aircon which cannot be switched off. It produced in my room a strong wind and I had to call for maintemance to turn wind lower. This is maybe standard in a cheap budget hotel but should not be the case in a Shangri-La.
Do not expect facilities like in other Shangri La Hotels. Hotel has no pool.
Facade looks very run down from outside and furniture is old, but not a problem for me.
Room was towards main road in 2nd floor, slightly noisy.
Not in hotel's responsibility : not easy to cross road at the roundabout near hotel. Very aggressive car drivers here, nobody will stop for you.
