We’ve enjoyed this area of Cervia. Also enjoyed the view over the top of the pineta from our 4th story balconcino. The staff were kind enough to open up the second room of our double room with “due camere comunicanti” when they discovered that we weren’t a couple, but mother and son who specifically chose this room to have separate sleeping. We felt lucky to have suffered only minimal “discussion” about the apparent mislabeling of the two-person package on the portal. Caveat: according to the hotel the second adjoining room of the ‘family suite’ is only opened if you buy a three-person stay. Otherwise when you check in you find a shut door and behind it an unused room with the single bed.

It is a real pity that when we called the hotel several days after our stay to inquire about a missing bluetooth speaker (initially without any suspicion of wrongdoing) the signora on the other end took the opportunity to accuse us of some missing bathrobes….. As if we flew to Italy from the US to fill our bags with hotel bathrobes. Very insulting. Unprofessional. Get your act together please!
