The breakfast was lovely with lots of tasty options to choose from. Our room was comfortable with a balcony with a lovely sea view which we enjoyed sitting on with a glass of Croatian beer in the evening! We did have a problem with our balcony light not working but the staff were very helpful with this and arranged for it to be fixed quickly. The pool was great with some very comfy options of sunbeds which we appreciated as we relaxed in the sunshine. The location was good with only a short walk of about 10 minutes into the town.

No tea, coffee or complimentary water was provided in the room which was a little disappointing and would have been a nice touch. The room was perhaps also a little on the smaller side compared to other places we stayed in Croatia for a similar price but it was still very comfortable. It is also useful to be aware that although the hotel is fairly close to the town it is all uphill from town if you are arriving with cases! Of course, being uphill probably helped give the hotel a better view. We also thought that the tours that could be arranged through the hotel were quite expensive.

Great location with a fantastic pool area. 10 min walk into town and a 10 minute walk to Hula Hula. Rooms were very clean and looked great. A very enjoyable stay . The Breakfast had a great selection. They also have an ironing room which was great.

Only thing really is that if you are planning to walk to the hotel from the port be aware that it is a bit of a steep walk to the hotel. You can especially feel it with luggage.

The hotel is set in a beautiful location surrounded by pines with superb views of the ocean. The staff were exceptional, nothing was too much trouble on arrival and delivered a truly amazing customer experience for my family - a huge thank you to Kocha, Andrea, Tea and Kristina who really went the extra mile to make our vacation perfect! The Pool area is clean with plenty of space/ beds and loungers, surrounded by olive trees, rosemary bushes and vegetation. The Pool bar served a good selection of drinks, local beer on draught and provided a wide selection of high quality pool food. The bar area provides a good selection for familes with young children also, ice creams and slush machine for the youngsters. Our room was an ocean view with balcony, great views. Room size was adequate for 2 people, decor was minimal and uncluttered, with a good stocked mini bar. Breakfast was buffet style with selection of juices, good coffee machine and variety of cold food (cheeses, local meats, hams and fresh fruits, salad items, great selection of breads and rolls), hot buffet also provided a great choice of eggs, sausages, bacon etc The lobby area is very relaxed, with an open covered area to relax with views to the swimming pool, chilled background music was relaxing for breakfast and down time. The hotel is a short walk to the ocean and coastal path which has a variety of fantastic beach bars/ clubs dotted along the route. The water was crystal clear, clean and perfect for snorkelling and swimming with easy access to ocean via steps or ladders into the sea. The Car rental Real Hvar at the hotel were superb - Ante and his team provided a superb service to us and nothing was too much trouble, very friendly, helpful and will definitley use again - thank you also for your friendliness and amazing service!! To sumise - we had an amazing stay at Pharos, cannot wait to return!

Be aware there are no lifts at hotel, this didn't affect us as we have a younger family, this isn't a dislike as such, just an awareness as bags will need to be carried up stairs if rooms are on higher levels.

Had a lovely stay fulfilling our needs and expectations. Location is great and the view at the sea beautiful.

Quite nice breakfast. Not the very best, but better than expected and no complaints really other than poor juice and coffee Ordered food was great. Had cevapi and angus burger. Especially the cevapi and bread was really good. Good cleaning. No problems. Clean room fresh towels every day. Moped/quad bike rental same building. Rented a quad bike for a day which was amazing to explore the island with. No british senior sunbed mafia! The rare occasion we chilled by the pool gave us zero problems in finding a sunbed. Younger people stayed at this hotel and Hvar isn't really the place for these people who are going on vacation to spend all their days by the pool (and to wake up 6am to claim a sunbed with their towel and leave till they want to use it).

Small rooms, but got what we paid for so can't complain really. The coffee. Actually the worst thing with the hotel. Some things in the room where almost broken, like the veranda door and some things on the toilet. The way up to the hotel.

Everything perfect

Absolutely loved the property, it was excellent value for money. The pool was very clean and had a great atmosphere. The breakfast was honestly one of the nicest breakfasts I have ever had in a hotel, it had options to suit everyone and I can’t really compliment the service and offerings enough. The room was perfect, kind of small but clean and perfect size for holiday.

The hotel is located on the top of a hill with plenty of steps which was tough to access with luggage, but it was only a 5 minute walk from the center of Hvar which was great.

Very spacious reception area, clean and modern facilities. Staff friendly and efficient and hotel food was nicer than most foods we got in the town. The dining and pool area are very pleasant and well maintained and pool bar had good service. Enjoyed the local beers. Hotel bar was nice and breakfast was fantastic, lots of choice for everyone. Rooms clean, bed was comfortable and air con was a relief after a day spent in 40 degrees.

Expensive stay for a few days and Hvar in general is fairly exorbitant but knew this already. Unfortunately the hotel is at top of a very steep hill, be warned it can be a bit of a struggle. Enjoyed our stay at the hotel but won't be going back to Hvar again. Stunning place but very expensive much like Split. We booked the first week in August, it was insanely busy with a strange mix of billionaires on yachts, day trippers and thousands of young traveller's looking to party. Probably avoid August if you are going in a couple or as a family. Restaurants were so busy every night, the island is pretty much cash only and it is all table service, so be prepared to wait 10 to 15 mins to get a drink. It's a real shame, such a beautiful place but the island is simply too small to cope with the volume of people visiting.
