very handy location for visiting vineyards of Sancerre . brilliant exploration of family winery and tasting experience by Emily , who was the best tour guide and tasting coach we have ever experienced ( and we have done many!) . very comfortable hotel , large room and bathroom . parking available a little way from the hotel. good food. very good wines.

that we couldn’t have dinner the first night. we hadn’t booked in advance and they were full. luckily they phoned us the week before and explained and asked if we would like dinner the second night, so this we were able to book. it’s a very small village with limited alternatives so be warned !

I stay here whenever I come to Sancerre and this hotel is always of a consistently high standard. The staff are friendly and efficient, the rooms are large, very comfortable, spotlessly clean and each one is slightly different. The food in the restaurant is excellent and of course the wine is superb.

awesome hotel and breakfast in the very cute village of Chavignol. I used to go to their restaurant with my family and its really amazing also. The rooms are super clean, ours was probably the biggest on 2 floors, no bathtub though. Go to La Tour in Sancerre for a michelin star experience for dinner

Self check in would be great so we don't have to wake anyone up. parking is a tad far up a hill if you have a suitcase.

We had to leave earlier than expected in the morning, but check out wasn't possible until 9am, this is very irregular and not very accommodating for guests...we left anyway. Yes we paid the bill!

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Lovely rooms (superior and suite). Superb wine list (of course). Location is in the centre of Chavignol - you’ll probably visit for wine and the views. Restaurant/bistro food delicious too.
