Steinenschanze Stadthote Is a wonderful hotel with clean, spacious rooms and a high attention to detail. The property is located just a couple blocks (less than 10 minute walk) from the old town centre. In the town centre there are numerous cafes, restaurants and shops. If traveling by train the bus does stop directly in front of the hotel making transfer simple. A buffet breakfast is well presented with variety of hot and cold items and fresh pastries highlighted with made to order fresh coffee. The hotel staff goes above all expectations to be welcoming and helpful. We definitely recommend this property for its location, value and appreciation of guests.

Bathroom is very small but nothing that can be changed.

location is good at the edge of the old town but close to the main road out to the airport. everything is very clean. Nice garden area with seating for breakfast

there are no facilities such as gym, pool, bar etc. so I would recommend this as a business hotel predominantly

Nothing - it was simply amazing.

We had the best stay here! The staff was extremely helpful and nice. And the rooms are lovely, especially the showers.

Close to bus stop and easy to get around the city.

Although it doesn't look interesting from the outside, it was well appointed and finished with nice details like wireless phone charger pad in room, filtered water dispenser, coffee-pod in room. Comfy bed, decent shower, nice toiletries. Staff in reception were friendly, decent wifi, nice little bar with well stocked whiskies. Lovely fresh croissants for the "small breakfast" (coffee and croissants) price.

A little bit of noise from the building site behind but very minor.

Annette at the front desk is a perfect hostess....calm, helpful, friendly, kind, and very competent. We had had a difficult journey with complications and Annette helped us every step of the way. I will return. 100% certain of that!

Breakfast was very nice, you can choose from two options - small breakfast or you can go for more expensive one which includes the large variety of food and drinks. I was also very glad they serve the lactose free milk and yogurt.
