Place is run down

it was very cozy, the staff was very warm and welcoming and helpful, they had an affordable bar and a very tasty breakfast. 10 out of 10 I would stay there again. They were also very welcoming of my two dogs. it is a great location, you can see the top of the castle from the front door of the hotel.

I loved the property.

The unit was clean and the beds/matresses were very comfortable.

When we checked in at reception there was a lot of cigarette smoke, it was horrible. We expected better service at breakfast, we had to ask for bread, butter, yogurt etc because there was nothing left or only one bread roll etc. When we left for dinner the first night on the 31st od December, someone entered our room, removed our chrome cast from the tv and took the tv. They replaced it with an older model tv full of dust and with lots of finger marks, there were also no port for the chrome cast anymore. The lady at reception apologised and then switched the tv with another one. She said she doesn't know who entered our room. From there on we didn't feel safe leaving our belongings in the room when exploring the area. The day we checked out there was no one at reception. Me and another lady stood there, ringing the bell, but no one came. Later I just left the key and walked out. The lady who waited with me said that she was trying to get a hold of someone, because there was no bread left at the breakfast table, same problem we had.

Clean and good location

The hotel room was clean and had plenty of space for our family of 5. The location was very close to the castle, restaurants and there was parking nearby. The staff was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. They recommended restaurants, helped us make restaurant reservations (we are only English speaking), and made sure we had everything we needed. It was a perfect start to our vacation.

Location is good near fort mountain water lakes friendly staff all together it’s in a convenient place for this mountain trip 🇩🇰❤️🇩🇪👏

Group of 4 on a motorcycle trip. Parking of the bikes in a locked garage which is part of the hotel was a big plus. Hotel and room were clean and safe regarding COVID. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
