Decoration and staff

Didn’t eat the breakfast. Staff were uniformly friendly, polite and helpful. Close to the beach. Nice walk along the coast road.
Without a car the location was too isolating. No Uber and taxis were hard to get.
Restaurant service was fine, but food was mediocre: tough steak, frozen French fries.
My room was dark, and its small terrace was enclosed by shrubbery: privacy but no view.
I was unhappy and decided to leave after the second night.
My request for even a partial refund of the remaining prepaid 6 nights was refused.

The location is very nice, close to the beach and quiet. The room was spacious and with a very nice balcony.
The room service was very lazy. They came to make our beds at 4pm after we came back to the hotel at 3pm. We had to leave the room and wait outside. As the hotel was hardly booked and the staff just sat around when we came back, we could not understand it.
The breakfast was OK.

Great recreated 60s-70s atmosphere and brilliant redecoration of what seems to have been an institution in Le Pyla-sur-Mer ! Spacious affordable rooms with terrace and see view.
Just cross the road (quiet in the down season) and you’re on the beach. Just rent one of their bikes and you can easily reach all places around worth seeing (La Dune, Arcachon, le Cap Ferret with the boat accepting them, etc…)
A nice play to stay with cordial service.
Forget about the internet. No Wifi for three days. Unable to join their network. So, heavy roaming costs to add for foreigners.
Bar is nice with its cosy and stylish red alcove, but the restaurant doesn’t match the standard of the region.
