We loved our stay at El Hospedaje! Our room was comfortable and clean, the pool was lovely and it was wonderful to have the chairs and table outside our room overlooking the pool and gardens - we spent a lot of time there. Breakfast was very nice, and the staff were helpful - they only spoke Spanish and were happy to communicate with us through Google translate! The location is fantastic as well, a few minutes walk from the main square and several of the Bodegas.
The room was a little dark, and they weren't enough hooks in the bathroom to hang towels - but these are very minor points.
We were frustrated that guests were told to park their cars right in front of the pool, between the pool and our room - this wasn't such a nice view to have, but luckily the cars weren't parked there the whole time.

Warm welcome, nice breakfast and an absolutely beautiful, spotless building and room, as well as the pool. We wish we could have stayed longer!
That they let people park their cars in the yard in front of the seating area and pool - I understand this is temporary due to the road works outside, though.

There was a lot of noise in the morning from renovation works (drilling, hammering,...). I suspect from the neighboring accommodation. This is not there fault I suspect but does not help for a peaceful morning.

It’s close to the city center.
If you want to have a little drink, the patio with the shadow of the trees is beautiful.
And if you want to refresh yourself, take a dive in the pool.

We booked this hostel and apparently we got a message that all two bed rooms were sold out. We had not seen this message and came to the hostel anyway, they were so friendly they gave us a bigger room which was still available that day. Staff could speak English very well, and breakfast was also good. It is located very close to the central plaza and wifi works excellent too. We could park our car right in front of the hostal as the private parking lot looked a bit small.
We did not use the pool but it did not look very clean.
