Location was great, staff very friendly, nice lively bar downstairs. Very good breakfast, great start to the day.

No parking, although a very reasonably priced public long stay car park 200yds away. It was a shame that they didn't do food as we needed a meal when we arrived, plenty of places to eat very nearby.

Breakfast was very good, especially the scrambled eggs.

The room was in a pub so some may not like the noise but it did not bother us and the pub closed on time

My only complaint would be the phone conversation I had with a lady the day before I travelled, (Friday 8th of Sep 12:47), I was enquiring about parking, and she came across very abrupt stating “there is no parking, the website states this, is that all”, and she went to hang up. I said hang on a minute, can you at least tell me we’re the closest place is for me to park, and she answered” I wouldn’t know I don’t drive, then she said ok is that it”, shocked I said no it’s not, can you at least give me an idea of some parking, then she replied” well there is the east street car park down the road”. She obviously didn’t care less about your client and how they were going to find parking to stay at your inn, and again she said “is that it”, I said well I suppose it is, and she hung up. She may well of been busy at the bar, but her telephone skills certainly need some attention, she spoke with a bit of a foreign accent, I don’t like complaining about this as most foreign people can’t do enough to help you and have a very polite phone manner, I should know my partner is from another country. Maybe she needs some training on how to hold a polite telephone conversation and be helpful not abrupt to your clients.
