We were warmly welcomed and given information to make our stay run smoothly. The location is fabulous...peaceful and lovely views out to the wetlands with stunning mountain views too. The cabins are very tastefully decorated and very comfortable. We decided on the first evening to have their small plates dinner, This show cased Icelandic produce which was very nice. Breakfast was great with local produce and also items produced by the guest house. The guest house is a few miles from Hofn which also offers nice restaurants, so there are a variety of places to eat. The hosts were able to give excellent tourist information and ideas on walks and places to visit. There is tea and coffee facilities available in the restaurant during the day. An excellent few days.

We arrived at Hrafnavellir in a storm (wind speeds up to 20m/s), the first thing the owner did was check the local (!) weather forecast for the upcoming 12 hours and provide us with sound travel advice! Nice, clean and comfortable rooms with a spectacular view, and a fantastic breakfast with possibly the best skyr I've ever had. This is REALLY a must-go accomodation, should you be in the neighborhood!

This was a very comfortable basic cottage. Liked the privacy afforded by the detached units. The hosts were exceptional, providing thorough information during check-in and friendly interactions during a lovely included breakfast. Loved looking out over the grazing sheep to the water beyond. Also enjoyed a run on the gravel drive into the valley across the street. I thought that this unit and breakfast was a good value for the cost.

The only thing I can come up with is that I would have appreciated a small freezer/fridge combo in our room for the food we had with us for our Ring Road journey.

I can’t recommend Hrafnavellir Guest House highly enough. The view from the rooms is beautiful, everything is thoughtfully and tastefully designed, the breakfast was the best I had on my trip, and the hosts are incredibly kind. Do note that the guest house is a 15-20 minute drive from Hofn, but it’s more than worth it for the solace and views that Hrafnavellir offers.

Very unique that they have standalone houses for each. Though it is not huge in size, it provides a secluded stay. The owner is nice to tell us in details what they’ve got for breakfast.

Everything was clean, beautifully decorated, and the hosts were extremely kind and welcoming. The stay includes a wonderful breakfast of local ingredients which was a definite highlight of our trip. if you’re visiting Iceland- this is a must-stay!

This was BY FAR our favorite stay in Iceland. Everything was perfect. After a long afternoon of hiking in the rain, along w forceful winds, this was the best possible outcome for a relaxing stay. Staff is very welcoming and informative. Their breakfast was absolutely amazing - homemade icelandic cuisine in the heart of the southern coast. The view is spectacular. I could go on and on, will definitely come back.

the guest house was built in 2018. the 7 cabins are clean, cozy and very comfortable. the owner family is very nice and friendly! we felt at home there :) breakfast is absolutely delicious and everything is homemade. we were there on stormy days and the roads were closed. although there is usually no dinner, the nice lady cooked us a very tasty chicken soup because we couldn't go out for dinner. the guest house is absolutely recommendable! many thanks again!!!

- the loveliest family owned bnb we've had so far. The lady Owner is clearly doing something she loves and you can tell right away, she is so kind and helpful. - the breakfast is nearly all homemade and full of Icelandic wonders. She took the time to explain what was in the table and it was honestly delicious. Best breakfast we had so far. Try her skyr, it's amazing. - the room is great, spacious, ridiculously clean! from the road, you would not imagine that you would have such a great cozy house. the interior is self designed by the family and is so cute. All brand new. - I only have good things to say. I wish Hrafnavellir a wonderful and prosperous business, they deserve it.

This guesthouse was absolutely stunning! Each house has a separate theme...we had the penguin ❤️ Everything was very well kept and it shows that the owner pays attention to every little detail. The scenery was spectacular! And the owner even went through the trouble of informing us about the Aurora Borealis late at night!! Breakfast was simple, yet amazingly delicious with quite a few homemade products.

So sad that we only spent 1 night here and had to leave the next day 😔
