I travel frequently and rarely need to give negative reviews but this stay was totally unacceptable. We purposefully booked in to this hotel because of the historic character of the building and the potential comfort of the lounge and common areas. However, everything was closed and locked and we were advised we couldn't use even the lounge to sit, relax and read a book etc. Hence we were confined to our room while in the building.

The reception closed mid afternoon and we saw nobody until 9 am the following day. No advice at time of booking saying the facilities and common rooms were locked. Money was required prior to arrival without advice of the limited/zero services. We would have been better booking in to a cheap motel. Totally unacceptable.

Beautiful art deco building in a great location.

We stayed 2 nights but out room wasn’t serviced at all. We were informed by a note that it wouldn’t be serviced on the public holiday (Monday) but it wasn’t done on Sunday either. Air con and bathroom both had leaks. Very nice looking dining room/bar/lounge downstairs was all locked up. We weren’t told at the time of booking that everything would be closed.

In the center of the town, neat and tidy, beautiful, comfy bed and beautiful shower, good continental breakfast

Tiny room. I mean tiny. Nowhere to put your suitcase. Just ridiculously small.
