The staff were exceptional, very welcoming and gave us some great tips about the area, what to see, where to eat, etc. The location was incredible, the room was comfortable and clean and the hotel facilities were brilliant.

A minor concern only - The breakfast wasn't to our tastes, we would have preferred some different options and felt that a lot of the food supplied went to waste. That being said, the quality of the food was great, it just wasn't our preference.

The staff was exceptional. As a solo traveler, I felt that they were very attentive to my needs and safety. The room was nicely sized as was the bathroom. It felt like a home.

the property is in the old town of Salvador, the staff are very quick to help , the rooms were fine no major issues

beautiful decor, modern bathrooms, lovely dining area. hotel is in the center of Pelourinho (old city) and there are areas in this district not to go as a tourist, but it is the center of all the things you WANT to experience in Salvador, so this hotel is in ideal location. it’s on a nice street, quiet at night but near music, bars, restaurants. police are very present so walking is safe at night. we spent six nights in the hotel: wonderful staff! we arranged two tours with hotel before arriving and that added to our experience. it’s also close to Bale Foclorico - a must see (Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights only -as we understand it)

The building is excellent, an old house, restoring and with great cultural and historical content. The staff is great and even the owners are there paying attention all the time.

Simply astonishing. Perfect location, the staff is very kind and helpful, the property is flawless. The room leaves nothing to be desired, comfy bed, delightful shower and a balcony with a very nice sea view. There is a rooftop lounge where you can have a nice drink while watching the sunset.

The hotel is located in the heart of Pelourinho, just a few steps from Terreiro de Jesus, where you can get an Uber or a cab. The staff was really nice and solicitous. Comfortable rooms.

Although the room had sound-blocking material, it may be still a bit noisy if the sound in the surroundings is very loud. It was not a real problem for me, but if you are very noise sensitive, better talk to the hotel.

Casa do Amarelindo sells as a 4 star, but it is a small 5 star boutique hotel. Very nice rooms, very clean, nice bathroom, fantastic small terrace (not sure if all rooms have it), pool, very good breakfast and dinner. Extremely helpful staff. We parked our car in the parking lot (5 minutes walk) and after a quick call they helped us with our bags and to find our way.

First class service. Bedrooms are gorgeous. The restaurant is lovely.

Over priced mini bar.

You may have second thoughts about staying in Pelourinho due to the loud noise of the streets and performances, but this hotel will overcome your expectations. The windows are soundproof as well as the walls. I couldn't hear a single note coming from the drummers. Additionally, the hotel is super clean, the bed is so comfortable and huge (if you book their luxe room), the staff is friendly, and the food is delicious. The hotel has only 10 rooms, and most guests are international folks.

The air conditioner in my room was making weird noises, but as soon as I shared this information with the manager, they took note for repair. Therefore, the noise didn't interrupt my sleep. This hotel is 10 out of 10.

excellent location. staff and owner were very helpful and friendly. the food was excellent. large breakfast included. we used the car service and booked a tour. it was safe and comfortable.

Great location in historic City Center. Very comfortable space to rest, relax, and re-charge. Lovely lobby, patio, pool, rooftop balcony w views of Bay.

everything was perfect

Everything was perfect. The location, the staff, the architecture and interior decoration, the view from the roof terrace, the variety at breakfast . We were there during the San Joao festival and were worried about the noise but the double windows perfectly isolated our room from the noise from the celebrations. I highly recommend this hotel.

The location is great and the hotel is very charming and pleasant. The room is super - very nicely set out, furnished and equipped. Breakfast excellent and very abundant. Very good choice of wines at the bar.

Staff could be a bit more friendly and forthcoming. And chat less noisily early in the morning. Also, I found charging for tea bags in the room a bit stingy for such standard and price.
