Very comfortable room, bed, pillows Quiet during the night

An amazing place to stay. Great views, easy going, lovely breakfast and fabulous wellness facilities.

Not enough eating options in the evening. It would be great if the bar snacks were served after 5pm. It did make us wander into town though which is only a few minutes walk away. The Irish bar recommendation was definitely appreciated. The Greek restaurant and schnitzel places just round the corner, were great too.

The SPA was good, but the atmosphere was ruined when you see old naked people, and especially when you are with kids. I belive it's an international hotel. Housekeeping was quick and serviceminded.

Breakfast quality and selection was cheap. The beds uncomfortable. Too expensive - no value for money. The service in the restaurant was average.

The pillows were by far the best we had in any hotel in Germany! Spectacular night sleep. Would go back just for those, but the sauna with panoramic view completes the awesomeness of this place. On top of the outside pool (which gets a great view of the sunset), there is a gigantic indoor pool (this one unfortunately closes at 19h) and a great indoor wellness part that stays open until late.

All pools were closed due to some operation while it mentioned in booking that one of them is open. This hotel without pools doesn't worth money.

The hotel is very clean and the location is good. The parking is free, but you pay an extra 'cure fee'. It's not much but you wouldn't expect that in a 4-stars hotel which advertises that all the facilities are free. For me the outdoor pool is too cold to use in winter (28C). I was imagining I could stay inside and get some sun. The sauna with a view was nice, and the indoor whirpool as well. I didn't use the swimming pool, it was a bit crowdy at the time I was there (that is a public area). The gym has some machines, but not many weights. I didn't take breakfast as it starts at 7am and I had to leave my room at 7 because of my activities. So I can't say much about it. But in the evening passing by the restaurant I can say it was smelling tasty.

The hotel is definitely not a 4-stars regarding customer satisfaction. I was there because I've had a paragliding course. On my last day the weather was bad so the course was canceled. The evening before I've asked for a late check-out so I could at least spend few hours of my vacation day at the pool. That was not possible, here it's worth mentioning that there were rooms available on booking.com at 11am when I left the room. The check-in is very late (3pm). I was expecting to be allowed to stay til 3pm. This would have made a 10points review and I would have definitely returned in this hotel for my next courses. The explanation was that my room is booked and it's not possible to manage the bookings.. blabla .. It's not the first hotel I've stayed, sometimes guests get an upgrade for one day and they are moved the next day to the room that was planned for them. You expect this to work in a 4-stars hotel. Not here, and this left me leaving with a bitter taste.

Great comfort, nice facilities and very close to the city center. Only a 5 min drive to the nearest skilift. Very friendly and helpful staff.

It was a little bit on the expensive side but that was understandable when you look at everything that was available.

The breakfast was good with a lot of options. Nice spa with different saunas and swimming pools, including an outside one. The room was clean and the staff very friendly and helpful - they explained everything about activities in Winterberg. The location is really convenient, as one can easily go to the town center by foot to visit different restaurants, not having to drive.

The outside pool could be warmer for winter time, massage in it would be also great. The steam room was very good, but I would also add a little aroma (oil or herbs). A little extra would be good for breakfast, like a better juice instead of a juice machine. Also, a coffee machine is almost a standard for this hotel price range, but was not available here.

Clean, modern room, spacious

No coffee in the room. Breakfast very limited with too little amount of items for people in breakfast room. Variety of food also limited, in terms of bread and means, cheeses etc. Matresses very hard, very difficult to sleep on. Service personnel was friendly, but not adequate in number to be taking care appropriately of the guests. For a 4S hotel and 250 EUR a night, very poor value for money ratio, especially when it comes to comfort of sleeping, richness of food and service level.

Staff were all friendly and helpful! Swimming pool and spa was wonderful. We all enjoyed it! Food at restaurant was pretty good too.

A waiter wanted to charge our 4 year old for the dinner buffet. I thought it was ridiculous because she doesn't eat much and normally children under 6 are free for buffets... we were there for dinner three times. The waiters never charged her but there was this one waiter who wanted to charge us the last time we went.

The windows were really dirty and the breakfast options were poor. Expected more options in a 4 star hotel.
