Lovely family, very friendly and very kind. The house is really pretty, very clean and you have all the comfort you need. We had a lovely time staying with them and if we will come back we will definitely stay here again! totally recommend it!

We couldn't have done better! Super friendly, kind and helpful landlords. Excellent rooms, parking, patio. We were invited to use the kitchen and we felt integrated in a local's life in the French way which we have enjoyed a lot. The location is the perfect starting point for hiking and other activities in the south. Everything you need is around, bakery/coffee shop, supermarket, pharmacy. The accomodation was in very good shape, very good beds, a big bathroom, air conditioner. We absolutely recommend! You should however be able to speak a little bit of French...

Nice homestay with friendly and helpful owners. Everything clean and in good condition. You can make your own food in the kitchen. Supermarket and bakeries nearby. Convenient location for visiting Cilaos.

La Rivière is not a major city like St. Pierre, so you may need to go there for anything more than basic needs. Surprising shortage of restaurants which are actually open.

The hosts, Christine and Gilles were very welcoming. It was great to be able to share our evening meals (obtained at a nearby take away specialising in cajan foods) seated around their dining table. There was much laughter trying out our limited French/English. Our twin room was well laid out with plenty of clothes hanging space and the shared bathroom was huge with an abundant supply of towels. The location was very convenient both for arrival at St Pierre airport and for visiting the magnificent Cirque de Cilaos.
