All in all, it was good value for money. Close to the bus station and the sea. Rooms had air con, balcony, fridge, safe, hairdryer etc. and the food was okay with a good selection of hot and cold food. Would recommend if looking for somewhere cheap and cheerful to stay in Malta that doesn’t mind sitting by the pool or travelling around the island by taxi or bus.

Some things in the hotel were tired, the entrance door scraped really loud every time someone opened the door, the pool was a dirty and rooms were average cleanliness; shower was dirty and the floors were also. Even when requested for our room to be turned over, we still had to request towels and soap again and again. We stayed B&B, there’s no organisation there whatsoever. They didn’t check our room number when entering so anyone could get in and out. It was too busy, with no separate sittings, people walking into you, pushing in etc etc. Upon arrival the staff were fine, supplied us with a map of the area as we couldn’t check in till 2pm, however didn’t at any point tell us anything about the building; where our room was, when or where breakfast was, where the pool was, or where there were any bars in the building. Because of this, we didn’t use any facilities other than the breakfast restaurant, which we had to go looking for, and the pool (which was on floor 8, when the lift only goes to floor 6). Buggiba itself doesn’t have much there. If you are looking to sightsee in the main places eg. Valletta, Mdina, Sliema, Gozo, Rabat, then this isn’t the ideal location, however you could get a bus pass for €21 pp for the week and go explore that way. Wouldn’t say it had 4* facilities, but it did the trick for us.

Single room considered a 'box' room ie. no window, little room between bed and entrance door. Also, noise from corridor during night and early morning.

The hotel is nicely located, 10 min walk and you reach restaurants, bus stops etc .... Breakfast was Ok, just little change in the menu, always the same there. There is a SPA and the massage are good, pool area as well.

Ok so where to start ... even knowing we booked an economy room, the first room was SO SMALL that it was impossible for 2 people to walk in the room, after asking to change in the reception we got a new room which was nice big. Even that the room was bigger, the safe was not working, the bathroom floated after the shower, 2-.3 days there was a terrible urine smell coming up the drains and the room was right next to the trash so early and loud trash pick up! For 1.000€ I expected a little more from the room an hotel as it is a 4 star!

Location is good. Ideal for us and this is why we chose this hotel. Breakfast was excellent. Good choice of food and very well organised. Room was not to my liking.

Room was not what was expected. We stayed in the hotel last year and the staff showed us the room to expect. We asked for rooms to overlook the car park only one did. We asked for double beds. All beds were singles. The shower trap blocked easily and the room was in danger of flooding every shower. Had to turn shower off while washing hair. Reported this and maintenance man was there within 5 minutes. However he threw the equivalent of a glass of water down the trap and said it was draining fine!!! Patio doors were constantly left open by housekeeping and we were on the ground floor. This was when housekeeping visited. Inconsistent. Sometimes only towels changed and beds not made up. Other than housekeeping the other staff were superb.

The cleanliness, the location, the breakfast and the parking in front of the hotel

It's too expensive for what is it is. We were there for one night in a studio including breakfast. The bathroom needs some serious renovation (broken old taps and mouldy sealer). The mattresses were not comfortable. It was cold in the room and we couldn't adjust the temperature ourselves. When we entered the 'spa, ' if you can call it so, we found an indifferent spa employee. We used the pool which was clean but the jacuzzi didn't work. Afterwards we wanted to use the sauna but we found a note that we had to go back to the reception (all wet and in bathing suits) to be able to use it which we didn't. When we returned the towels and asked about the sauna, the person at the reception told us that there was an additional charge for the sauna (which we were willing to pay had we known beforehand). The same person didn't give us this info when we collected the towels. There was no soap to have a shower in the spa and there is only one toilet and one shower (which you couldn't even lock since the locks are too old and unusable). There were no lockers either so you can either leave your stuff on a shelf in the toilet or take them with you to the spa. I wonder what it is like when the spa is busy?! 🙄

There was little choice of what to eat, and little availability on the part of the restaurant managers.

The hotel is located in the best location, as there is a bus station next to it, which is the starting point for all places in Malta.

The rooms are spacious and have new furniture, unfortunately the fan in the bathroom didn't work, so it smelled of moisture, despite a complaint at the reception, they didn't fix the fan, so don't take room 255. Regarding the food, I can say that the breakfast was ok, but that the hotel with 4 stars, it doesn't have chocolate spread or nutella, it's really sad. I wouldn't comment on the dinners at all, because they were disgustingly below average, the only thing that was worth it was that the drinks were stagnant, because the food was disastrous. Regarding the pool, I would also like to say that the jacuzzi was not working for the entire 4 days

The whole experience, staff very friendly and informative, great breakfast and location 100yards away from a main bus station with links to all around Malta for 2 euro's, even back to the Airport for 2 euro's !!

May be the indoor Pool and jacuzzi could have been a bit warmer, but nick picking !!

Great hotel stayed ere several times. Staff always nice and friendly. Unfortunately there was noise early in the morning very loud sounded like work was being done ontop of our room. Noticed a few changes.

There been few changes, the snacks on the all inclusive and also no bottled water to take back to the room, had to take it in pint glasses.

Room was very neat and quite.. Indoor pool was very quite and hot and we enjoyed it a lot. Staff at Restaurant were very friendly. Overall we enjoyed our stay, it was very worth it

Quality of the food during dinner was not good, I used to come before and the food was much better. In the morning B'Fast was very good for the price we paid, quality remained the same as before. After showering the bathroom became full of water as the drainage system was not good. It remained like that till morning.
